Week 14 Support Group
Here's a link to the Wallenius ship's schedules. I'm not sure where the MINIs get picked up at though. I hope the link works.

You should be able to go to the Wallenius home page, click auto cargo, type in your VIN and see if it's scheduled. I don't know how long it takes for MINI to get the car scheduled for a boat after it's built.
For the NY,NY port of entries out there....
Here is a link to Walenius schedules from Southhampton to New York. Based on past posts I've read, it can take up to 2-3 weeks for our cars to get loaded on a ship, so I'm not counting on the April 7th departure. From what I've read, most MINI's go through Walenius but some may get shipped via K-1.
Don't quote me on that.
Ok, here's something I don't understand. In the MINI production video on the MINIUSA website it shows the chassis going through the paint shop before being assembled. When I talked to MINIUSA they said my MINI was in the paint shop yesterday and it should be completed that day. So, is there another step to painting after it's assembled?

It looks like April 7th will push you out to week 15. Still, congratulations!
It's quite remarkable how quickly things change while one's waiting: just spoke to Ask MINI and was told my Clubman started production on the 27th and hit the body shop yesterday, should be finished by this Thursday. From there there's an ETA to the port of a week, 14 days across the ocean to NJ, a respite in the VDC there for another week and then off to my dealership of MINI of Fairfield County in Stamford, CT. (writing this all to help with other's estimations on timing)
So it appears I may have her by early May, certainly mid May. All of this pretty much fits what my MA had said to me originally - and may turn out to be a slightly better time line.
Naturally, I'll have to call again on Thursday.

I had the day off from work today, so my daughter and I jumped in the car and drove to the MINI plant in Oxford. I thought the chances were slim to get in and they were. Entry was denied today because we didn't have a reservation on the plant tour. We did however see a heck of a lot of band new MINIs waiting to be shipped out. I've attached a couple of picks of the production yard. Not too exciting, but there sure are a bunch of them. While watching at the new cars roll out of the factory for the first time, we did see one that was a match to what I ordered. For now, I'm pretending it was mine. After missing out at the MINI plant I had to swing over to Abingdon to see the site of the old MG factory and visit the MG Car Club. Being an MG owner and a soon to be MINI owner, that whole area is like Mecca to me.
My dealer is about a two hour drive from Oxford, and I was told to expect to wait 1 to 2 weeks for the car to make it from the plant to the dealer. We'll see what happens.

Just check my VIN at the WW web site and my Clubman will be on board DON JUAN that will depart Southhampton today (4/2/08) and arrive Port Hueneme on 4/23/08
a week earlier that I thought
