Hmmm ... maybe a week, but I don't think it really should take a couple weeks. My MA said that if mine is on schedule and makes port in Charleston on the 9th I should be able to pick up the week of the 17th (the very next week) My dealership is in Chicago.

Trust me, it's better to plan for a later delivery and then be happy when it shows up earlier... Mine is still at the VDC...

hmm....that can't be good. At the VDC on a sold vehicle for more than three days signals me that something is...uh....wrong???

Or being worked on. If you get the JCW kit, it's installed at the VDC and can take a week or so, depending on how busy they are.

Or it could be delayed because of this....

So i finally have the scoop on why my car isn't here yet. When our ship got into the port at charleston, some were immediately taken to VDC in charleston to be processed and some (like mine) were transported by trucks to be processed at the VDC in Brunswick, GA (who knew they had one there??) and then will trucked back to Charleston and then sent out to dealers. That's why mine is so delayed. It is supposedly going to be here tomorrow. But dealer is super cool, since I have been freaking out about my trade-in mileage.... We are going tonight to pick up my fiance's, trade-in my car, and I'll be driving a loaner MINI home for the next few days. If we can't pick mine up by Saturday, my MA will personally drive mine out to me and take back the loaner. And we are getting 150$ each in MINI accessories. And it's not even the dealer's fault, but they are really taking care of us because of this ordeal. I'm excited even to be picking up a loaner tonight!!

Well the Faust sure made a big voyage...to the other side of the channel!
In a related note, my MA just called and said he should get the car Monday, March 3rd, and I've made an appointment Monday to pick it up!

I just checked the WW Website and it shows an Updated schedule for the FAUST..(he says with a wimper)
It is now not Due in Charleston until March 1st.
http://www.port-of-charleston.com/Vessel_schedule.asp also confirms this.
I wonder Why?
I think I need the WAAAambulance.

Still at the docks

Apparently mine is still at the docks....no change in status with ASK MINI or on OL and my MA still doesn't have a ship name yet. Completed on 16 Feb. Maybe they just like looking at it at the docks and don't want to see it leave...

Hoping I'll hear something tomorrow when I go to the Clubman Open House at my dealership.

Faust activity?

Has anybody heard any info on the faust Unloading in Charelston Today (1 Mar08)?
Anyone with AIS, can you confirm the FAUST location?
The Port of Charelston Website dosn't seem to be working for me.

Looks like the PATRIOT is well on it's way. Hasn't updated it's position in over 24 hours which is annoying ... lol I really need to focus on something else ... it's SO hard

I got the JCW Aero kit with mine and my dealer is going to install it themselves instead of having it done at the VDC. It will only take them a day or two to get it installed and painted while doing the same thing at the VDC could delay it a couple weeks.

Only a couple more weeks to go! Looks like I'll have a pretty full work schedule the next two weeks ... maybe that will keep my mind off everything. Probably not.

The Manon should reach the dock in NYC tomorrow. Can my Mini really be only a week away?

Looks like my car will arrive at dealer too late today.
Tuesday is MA's day off (wtf?)
Wednesday the weather is going to be crappy.
So, it looks like a Thursday pickup at the moment.

Congrats VF! I'm very happy for you and very envious at the same time. Although it must suck knowing your car is sitting there ready to be picked up.

Tell me about it.
Waiting a day for the MA's availability is tough.
Then again, if it does indeed freeze rain on Wed., maybe discretion is better.

I am a little bent about my car's arrival now.

Mine was suppose to be here and available for pickup on the 7th or 8th. The 8th is suppose to be a warm day, and it would have been nice to drive around in the sun a bit. Now, because of a late arrival, it won't be here until next week sometime, when the temps are suppose to be in the 20s-30s and overcast. *sigh*

Tires won't warm up for crap in these temps.

not feeling the love...

not feeling like week 7 much anymore either...Am I the only week 7 production that didn't ship?? I can't believe my MINI's been done since the 17th and it's still not on a ship yet.

MA still has no update.

Wow ... that's too bad about yours not shipping yet. It didn't just make it on a K-Line vessel? Are you on the east or west coast?

It is interesting the spread in shipping dates. Mine and VF's were finished the same day but shipped over a week apart (going to the same coast) Yours is a bit ridiculous though if it's been done since the 17th.

Hope you get an update soon
