Just called and mine is scheduled to begin production next week (week 7)

Didn't see a week 7 thread ... so here it is!

Let the waiting continue!

My MA said that I'm week 7! I still need to call and confirm, but I'm going to wait til the Owner's Lounge is updated with my car specs.

We can't be the only 2 can we?

Glad to see someone else on here to wait with! Fortunately I've been pretty busy at work the past couple days so it has at least helped distract me from calling ASK-MINI every couple hours ... lol

Hopefully we'll see some more pop in here over the next few days!

I'm not sure anymore which week I am... I called this morning and found out I went into production TODAY! So, I think I'm actually week 6? I'm confused about which week is which. Do you have a production date scheduled yet?

Wow! Congratulations Robin81!!! Gives me hope that maybe mine will be done sooner than they think? All I have right now is the website that says "ON ORDER" and the automated system that says "Confirmed for production with no production date set yet."

Ordered mine on the 1st. Guess I should call first thing in the morning and speak with a real person to see if the status has changed on mine

By my count, this is week 6 still. I'm not clear on when my production start is. OL isn't showing anything new and calling ASK MINI gets voicemail not their 'bot.

What's most important, however, is that production be completed and we get to the dock in time for the 2/11 departure.

Ignigena, definitely try calling and talking to a person... that's the only way I found out that my order's already in production. The Owner's Lounge still says I'm just at "On Order."

tony1athome, I don't know if my MINI is going to be at the dock in time for the 2/11 departure... the guy I spoke to today said won't be done until 2/12. But I've heard it's only 5 days, so he might have been wrong.

Correct, this is week 6 (Feb 4-10) and next week is week 7 (Feb 11-17)

What's the next departure after the 11th? The last representative I spoke with said it would be about 5 days from the start of production until it was at the docks ready to be shipped ... so I'm obviously going to miss the 11th departure.

I do wish the OL was more up to date. Think of how much Mini would save with people not calling the toll free line several times a day because they know the website doesn't have the most recent information.

The 2/11 departure is for west coast... you're on the east coast, right? So I think you'll be on a different ship. You can find the schedule for WW here: http://schedule.2wglobal.com/AppSchedules/

I think some people end up on a different shipping line, but most people are on WW.

Here's a post that shows all of the left coast departures for this month.

https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...CA#post2021458

Basically, if we don't make the 11th, then we slip until the 18th.

My understanding is that all west coast shipments are via WW, whereas the east coast is split between K-line and WW.

Yeah, I really can't wait 'til morning to bug some friendly chap at ASK-MINI and see if there's anything new on my car.

Thanks for the link on the East Coast schedules. Hopefully mine at least stays on schedule for week 7 and at least gets on the 18th. Really hoping it doesn't end up sailing on the TOSCA because that would mean I would have to delay my vacation plans another week from when I hoped.

Must. Sleep. Now. It's 3:00AM here ... good grief

I hope I get on the Turandot... this whole thing is going so fast! My MA told me I'd better be sure about my options because it was headed straight into the factory, but I didn't really believe him.

I haven't yet decided where I'm going to finance or insure it. I guess I'd better get on that sooner than I thought!

Whoops, sorry, that link was for west coast only. Tosca, specifically is west coast. The other good news is that you won't have a 20/21 day transit.

Well, mine hasn't budged ... still no production date set yet, though they still say week 7 is the target production week. This week has at least been good because I've had a pretty full work week ... which helps keep my mind off of everything Mini for the time being ... lol

Yay! Congratulations! Yours is getting done 3 days after mine, but you'll probably get it earlier than me. It takes so long to reach the west coast!
I'm obviously going to miss the Turandot, but hopefully I'll be on the Falstaff...

Is there a difference betwen "scheduled for production" and "in production" for this, because the Owners Lodge says my MINI is now scheduled for production

Scheduled for production just means that you have been assigned a week. However, if this is the Owner's Lounge you really can't tell if it already is in production or not. Call ASK-MINI and speak to a live person and they can give you the most up to date information.

Let us know what you find out!

Yeah, definitely call ASK-MINI or your MA could probably tell you. Mine called me the day my MINI went into production to let me know!

I just called ASK-MINI and mine's in the body shop! Yay!

Thanks!!! I'll call that number. Is it automated? Well, I'll guess I'll find out tomorrow!

You can do the automated one, but I would speak to a customer service rep (during business hours) Sometimes the automated one doesn't have the most up to date information.

If you do automated (and don't want to talk to a robot ... plus it's about 2 seconds faster ... lol):

1-866-ASK-MINI — press 2 — press your production order number — press 1 — wait and it will tell you the status

I called the number early this AM. The robot said that production would be complete 2/14! Things are moving fast! Perhaps they SHOULD have charged less than MSRP, lol.

Edit: Whoa.... Valentine's Day
