Time off approved....I get out of here at two, and then the BMW MA has to come get me for the transit back to the dealership.

Argh, I hope they get it done in time!
My MA called me yesterday, because he couldn't remember if I wanted sports stripes or not. I thought they were going to be installed at the VDC, but I guess they're being put on at the dealer.

I'm getting really nervous about actually going through with buying the car. I'm a bit commitment-phobic...

My sport stripes are being installed at the dealer as well, Robin. According to them it would be *much* faster this way. It could take a week at the VDC whereas it would only take a day once it arrives at the dealer. Plus, they're installing mine so it goes all the way down the front and back bumpers

I know what you mean about being nervous. It seems like the closer it gets to pickup the more nervous I get. Especially since I'll be paying for it for the next several years. Probably just because it's been so long since we've ordered. I imagine once we pick up our cars we'll be completely happy.

I seem to be at the end of the line...still no confirmation that I'm at the VDC yet...should have unloaded on Sunday though.

Congratulations Desert Sand! How are you liking it?

Mine's officially at the dealer according to the owner's lounge... looks like everything's on track for a Thursday pickup.

Very nice, DS! That was one of my earliest color combo choices before I decided to go with Chili Red. It really is a slick looking color combo.

Well ... as far as I know mine has yet to arrive at the dealer It's killin' me!

Yours isn't at the dealership yet? That sucks. I hope it gets there soon!

I'm picking mine up tonight! My MA is actually driving to my house to pick me up because I don't have any other way to get there before dark.

Yeah, I called my dealer Tuesday and she said that their tracking was down but she would call me once it came back up and she could see where it was. Still haven't heard back. I believe she's off today, so it very well could be there now but my dealer would be the only one who could tell me since OL takes so long to update.

Kind of dissapointing ... now approaching on 8 weeks since I ordered. I really needed it this week for transportation to and from work since I'm moving my office out of my home and to my workplace.

Keeping my fingers crossed for Monday at least ... otherwise I may not be able to pick up before next Friday

Glad you're getting yours tonight Robin! That's awesome of your dealer to pick you up like that. Enjoy the new Mini!

They had to come get me too....I think someone in the dealership was bummed that I had great credit. I didn't use their financing, but their guy said he couldn't touch the rate I got...so I am good.

DS - Looks great! Very Nice!

My MA told me to plan on next week - Tue/Wed...Talked to the finance guy today. My Credit Union was at 5% - he got me at 4.74% on MINI financing...where else should I be looking for lower rates on a 48 month loan?

Anyone tried MINI Select Financing (balloon pmt) yet??

Yay! I have my MINI! I took pictures, but I haven't gotten them off my camera yet... the purchasing process took way longer than I thought it would, and I was reallllly tired when I got home.

The only problem with the car is that the bluetooth isn't working. When you try to pair it with a phone it freezes. My MA said he'd never seen this problem before, and I'm going to have to bring it back to get it fixed. Hopefully it's fixable! I was really excited about that feature.

Desert Sand, your car looks great!
Ignigena, I really hope you hear that your car is at the dealership today! It's time to bring (her? him?) home!

Yay Robin! Can't wait to see the pics!

Just heard from my MA that mine should be here over the weekend which means I won't be able to pick up until Tuesday of next week. I think mine got put on the turtle carrier.

At least it's only a few days now ... although a little disappointing that it will be 8 weeks from purchase ... and mine wasn't even a Clubman.

It will be worth the wait!

Yeah, I know... you didn't even have to be on a west-coast bound ship, so you really should have gotten yours before me. Mine took 48 days from order to delivery. Which seems a lot longer than it sounds like! Heh.

I really don't want to be at work today. I feel like I've been hit by a bus... the past week has been so stressful! I got my insurance figured out *just* in time. My transfer from savings to checking didn't go thru in time (but they're holding my check for a couple days so it won't bounce). My honda failed the smog check yesterday, and the guy I'm selling it to is picking it up today (I know I shouldn't have waited til the last minute, but I thought I was sellling to carmax), so I had to get that dealt with (luckily it only cost $35 to get it fixed... ignition timing problem). I've been a terrible employee this whole month, because I've been dealing with car stuff at work and leaving early for dentist appointments and taking *long* lunch breaks to deal with smog checks, and on top of that I've taken 5 days for two trips back to Seattle for a funeral and a wedding (which I know is totally legitimate, it's just a timing thing). So yeah, I'm ready for things to settle down a little bit. Anyone got any recommendations on relaxing music? I don't think I'm up for Rancid today.

Sorry for the rant. I'm just sort of ready for nap.

I was worried my bluetooth wouldn't work, since my phone isn't on the approved list (HTC Windows Mobile Phone), but it sync'd right up, pulled off my contact list, and was ready to go.

I wish that I didn't have to program in the voice dialing, but oh well...
