WOO HOO! The vessel schedule I had was as of Jan. 18 and covered Jan. 20 to Feb. 16 -- yours is up to date. Such good news! Thanks!!

 

Call 'em up and ask if you can have a guest pass on the 9th or 10th!!!! (I'd guess it might arrive on the 9th but won't be unloading until the 10th judgeing from the schedule) Don't act all innocent. Act like a typical MINI owner in waiting and they won't find it unusual, I'm sure! LOL

 

Man this week is draggin'.... it's only Thursday!

 

I couldn't help it... I broke down and bought a stubby antenna to help pass the time. If delivery takes too long, I may end up adding tints and rally lights - augh!!

 

I know the feeling...

 

This has been a looooonnnnngggggggg week!

It's in Mexican waters! OMG I'm so excited!

 

Oh, and while I'm posting, I'm happy to say I got my paperwork out of the way today. My MA told me to bring in my phone to test with the bluetooth and I took him up on it today. It works great, which is wonderful. (a new phone for me and I wanted to be sure it worked with my MINI before my return window closed with Verizon)

Anyway, while I was there he said I could do all the paperwork now to make the pickup day that much more fun. So I did. Got my 4.99% loan finalized through my CU, that went smoothly and there wasn't any of the sales pressure for extras. I just loved that!

Then the best part, though I don't want to get excited about it. He said that since the ship is coming in early it was possible I could get my Mini as early as next Saturday!!! Holy smokes! That would just be the best. I've got a drive to San Jose planned for the 17th that would just be a blast in Tristan.

I won't count on it. But I had to share the news. You all have been such fun to hang out with during this process. You're the best!

I just got back from dinner with my DH and he had to spend an hour listening to me go on and on about the Mini. He said he can't wait to see the smile on my face when I get in the Mini!

Oh, and I've been emailing with Juliana from www.poochstyle.com regarding the custom dog mat I'm getting so my 2 hounds can ride in comfort and I won't have dog fur everywhere. I can't wait. Man is she helpful. I'm getting it totally customized to my Mini (I'm getting the "Echo's Mat" in black with yellow piping on one side and reversable to a map fabric on the other).

Next week is going to be toughest of all with no ship to track.

 

Juliana is great - look up "great customer service" in the dictionary and there should be a photo of Juliana. Our mat arrived last week and is sitting wrapped in plastic in the garage waiting for "it's" Mini to arrive.

Next week is gong to be the hardest week of all!

Looks like she is there! My neck is tingling. Can't believe my 759 day wait is nearly over.
I am rearranging the front of the garage so OTTO will have plenty of room. Can't believe he may be in there so soon. Just hope the dealer doesn't take too long once he arrives. My husband has a heart doctor appt on Monday the 18th, but if they call for me to pick up the car he will postpone it. After all, what takes priority here?

My last estimate was 2/25... way too long from now. I just left a message asking for a better estimate. We're a 5 hour drive away and I'm only having one quick thing added by the dealer, so I can't imagine what could possibly take that long.

How cool would it be if the individual cars (or transport trucks) were trackable? Now that the ship's in California, we've got nothing - booo!!
