I agree!!! Today was a great day, even if it was spent in front of the computer. And to share it with a bunch of other MINI owners was the best.

I look forward to reading the article. Keep us posted on it.

Too bad there isn't a camera at the VDC, though I'd really have a hard time watching the cars come out and worrying about how they were treated. At least this way I won't have to bite my fingernails while watching them unload.

Have a great rest of your weekend everyone!

We're working on it now. Don't count on me being able to find another song called "Isolde" though.

And please, feel free to just say Michelle.

Yeah, I found that too, but couldn't find a section I liked to use. *shrug*

Anyway, here it is going through the Miraflores Locks:

Now that you have cleared the canal, its about 172 hours from the Pacific Anchorage to Port Hueneme. It doesn't look like you are going to have the vehicle backlog that we had at the beginning of January.

Hey Michelle,

do you have the zip file for Miraflores? I'm gonna add to the video for Centenniel Bridge (thanks for that!) , but it'd be cool to get the rest too.

Fantastic!

Thank you both sooooo much. It made me learn how to use my SanDisk so I can save it forever. I also put all the MINI ads from UTube on it.
We all appreciate the efforts made for us. We are so lucky to be in your group.

I wouldn't have done it if I didn't think it would be appreciated. This experience has been so much fun because of this forum... at this point, it's more about the common experience. I will love my car, I'm sure, but this makes it SO much more than a car!

Isolde spotted yesterday ~ 11:30 a.m. PST

Hi - I'm a newbie -- I ordered my new MINI and it's on the Isolde too. I just HAPPENED to view the webcam yesterday around 11:30 a.m. and actually saw it passing thru the Panama Canal. It's due to hit Port Hueneme on February 11 .... so, happy days ahead!! I ordered the BRG, black sunroof with all options except the navigation and JCW works.

So there Goldilocks, would you say that your new Mini is "just right"?

You know.... this is going to be a very long work week.

Best I just take my mind of it - since I have a JCW Aero kit being installed the car probably won't be ready next week anyway.

My first race of the season is in Las Vegas next weekend (16/17) so at least I have something to focus on (besides work ).

Be nice if the car was ready when I get back from Vegas - very, very nice.

BTW - very nice of that weather to clear out from the west coast in time for some smooth sailing for the Isolde.

Nice sunny (70's), calm weather expected for our docking day!

I was thinking that since I don't have a Clubman I probably won't be getting mine before the 16th. I was told my dealer had 4 Clubmans coming in so I figured the focus of that week will be getting those to the dealer. I also have some options being installed, so I'm hoping for the middle/end of the following week (20-22nd, ish).

I think I might actually get some work done this week!

Maybe, RRHounds, but, since they don't have to hold any of the non-clubman for the launch date, you might just get lucky and take earlier delivery than the rest of us.

I'm feeling "Half full", I guess.

Just walked in the door from a weekend in Tahoe... first thing I did was refresh this site. Wow, you guys are awesome... and very much appreciated. I have to admit that I made my friends take a pit stop at an internet cafe on Saturday so I could refresh the where's the mini site. They tolerated the detour but definitely didn't understand it.

I LOVE these movies. I'm a little slower with iMovie (and with taking the time to sit down and focus), but I will definitely post whatever I come up with to celebrate this experience (in time). The ladies on this list are an inspiration!

Not sure how long to expect once we get past the VDC, but for now, I'm counting down to 2/10...

Hey there -- yes, my MINI is just right! For all those expectant parents waiting for the Isolde to birth their MINI, arriving in Port Hueneme, the Oxnard Harbor District has it scheduled coming in 11 Feb instead of 10 Feb. Any way we can see them being offloaded in Oxnard?
Cheers!

Really? I went to official site and looked at the calendar and it has it on the 10th.

See this page:

Actually, this site (enter your VIN, then click on the link under "Voyage Priorty"):

http://schedule.2wglobal.com/AppTrac...trackType=Auto

..has the arrival date at Port Hueneme as the 9th now. It was the 10th. So go figure.

I'm only about 75 minutes from the port. It would be fun to go there and watch the ship unload but I'm not sure if there is anyway to get close enough to see the unloading.

And being perched on a bypass taking photos with a long lens would probably get me arrested by Homeland Security.

Doesn't look like I could get that close....
