All Aboard! ISOLDE departing 1/21
Final MA update until Arrival at Dealer
My MA in Tacoma sent me a note today letting me know mine was discharged and at the VDC. My target is to pick it up on March 1st after I return from a trip.
It will proabably be at the dealer that final week of February just waiting for my return. Don't know if having it waiting will make the 11hr flight seem longer or shorter.

So excited... this was a good day for me and the MINI. I got approved for my loan, and filed my tax return. As a brand new homeowner, I'm seriously enjoying the benefits of itemized deductions, something I've never had to do before. I didn't think I liked having a house payment before now...
so... I'm going shopping for MINI stuff now
... tinted windows, clear bra, and maybe a nice set of wheels? I already bought the super special detailer bundle from DP... not here yet though... (DEAR LORD, here I go!)

I called my MA yesterday and he said I'm scheduled(prounced sheduled in NAM) for next Monday. My dealer is Sandia Mini in Albuquerque. I've probably posted it before but our Clubman launch party is this Friday. I saw those images posted from Momentum Mini in Houston and they just look great. They do look larger in the images and I hear they are smaller in person. Can't wait!(but I still have to)

hahahahha
Oh my. I figured that the discharged was the last update on the WW site so I stopped looking. Thanks for posting. Mine was Delivered From an hour later too!
Do you thing that means it has left the VDC at that time and is on the way to the dealer????? My dealer is off until tomorrow so I can't call him.

Well he told me he would call me tomorrow lets wait....
Mine still says En Route....
I'll take your advice though, and wait for him to call......Everyone at work is coming by this week asking where my MINI is now....
VCD = Vehicle Distribution Center
Owners Lounge = OL
I love this. My Clubman was on the Isolde too as you all know. And it shows it was offloaded with everyone's. But if I call ASKMINI it says it is at the port awaiting shipping. DUH!
Well, I guess I'll just have to take a patience pill and wait till I get a call from the dealer. We all know it is in California, except for MINI.
I have the garage ready now, I want my car......
The wait is now 770 days and counting.

My MA says this just an hour ago:
They show the boat landing on 2/9 but they have not shown it as unloaded yet. We get another update at 3pm.
I don't know who "they" are but "they" obviously are behind the curve as we know the boat has unloaded and let for Tacoma days ago.

Considering the Isolde left port on the 10th, I would say that obviously the cars are unloaded. When I tracked through the auto cargo it listed it as unloaded.
I would say there is a lot of room for improvement in this area. They know MINI owners are obsessed with the details.

BTW - OL for my car still says "En Route". Nice.
I don't understand why there is so many different status situtions for cars that we know were all on the same ship - why would is the OL so far behind on my car when others have it up to date. Same with ASKMIINI and MA's inquiries.
Makes me panic a bit and think was my car really on the ISOLDE?
I trust WW's information, since our babies are essentially cargo and all WW exists to do is move cargo. They're like UPS.
But yeah, what's up with this lack of information??
It seems like it would be really easy to be a MINI sales person -- these cars sell themselves, we configure the cars ourselves, and we track them... what's left?

Their job is giving you the bill after assuring you that it is highly sought after car and that you are lucky to be paying MSRP with no incentives. Retaining a calm demeanor through the incessant questions about where your MINI is. I think they spray Prozac through the dealerships to keep everyone calm and relaxed. It's those of us on the outside of the dealership who need the sedatives after trying to find where their MINIs are.
Strangely enough, I can't wait to go through the process again someday. Maybe it's like wanting to get back on a rollercoaster that just scared you half to death.

I just got an email from my MA. He said the "estimated arrival is the 18th" and wants to know my availability next week. Since I don't want to jump to conclusions I've asked him if that is the date it is arriving at the dealership - or if that is the date I can pick it up. I'm waiting to hear back.
I just asked my husband if he'll be able to leave work early one day next week so I can pick the MINI up early enough in the evening to still be daylight. He said "of course" since he totally understands and has been watching this whole thing unfold for months and knows I'm bouncing off the walls in anticipation.
So now I wait for the date to be confirmed.
