You're right. I just got tired of being jacked around. I'll have the tint and bra done up here and pocket around 1K. We'll pick up the car either Saturday or Monday and be done with it. I've driven my other cars without protection and they have never been chipped, so I'll just be careful bringing him home. Today is a better day.

Hey everyone!

I have a 1pm appointment with my dealer today and am taking the rest of the day off for a "getting to know you" afternoon of driving.
One more hour!!! Yay!

After two weeks of no rain, I was a mess last night wondering how, just how, it could be raining that much. And still more rain during my morning workout... augh!, but I stepped out of my apartment post-shower to blue skies and sunnyness. I hope the weather holds!

By the way, those lightning blue boys/girls look amazing...

Cloud10, you are saying I will be paying around $1,200.00 for my dealer installed Invisi-shield? Just great! That makes me feel like plopping another $500.00 just for them to remove the plastic from the seats and the window sticker. I'm also getting the mud flaps. I thought my $1,500.00 down was going to help a little with my payments but I guess it was just a drop in the bucket.

Poopmonkey, you are way too lucky! Friday at 9:00 AM for me.

Vuganeja, this is a great time to bother your MA with excited and rambling questions. This has gone on too long and you want immediate answers!

We did that Monday. Took the day off, got the car, and drove around a little bit. That's the way to do it. You don't want to get any new car and just take it right home.

I don't know what it is about pictures, but they just can't capture how the car looks in person. The wheels look better, the color looks better.. *shrug*, it's all just better in person.

It was $895 for complete front bra, $250 for rear bumper (dog protection) and $50 for door cups. Plus $325.00 for tint. But now I'm having a local tinting place that comes highly recommended do that and the bra. Total cost is $698 for both. Saves me around $900. I'll just be careful taking it home.

Minichelle, get a better camera! Your new baby deserves it.

Cloud10, now that sounds just a tiny bit better. Since I live close to 300 miles away from my dealer, I don't want to chance it.

I have a nice camera. We both do. There's just some things you can't capture. Though I suppose it's not entirely impossible that some of that could maybe possibly be the photographers fault.

Finally! My car is being unloaded at the dealer now (6pm on Wed) and I'm picking it up Thursday at 2pm.

I'll have to drive between the rain drops on the way home - good thing Mini's handle well!

Just got back from 5 hours of driving through winding roads in Marin. I put 90 miles on the car (didn't want to completely disrespect the "break-in period" and go tooooo fast) and am ready for more!!

For those of you still waiting, it's so very worth the wait. He is SO MUCH more fun to drive than I expected!! Hang in there and definitely take a day off to play as soon as possible! The fun roads seem to be empty on weekdays...

Also, I just ordered my tag through the DMV site: WEEHEHE
I know my friends will give me a hard time about that one, but c'mon, "weeeeeee" is what's like to drive a MINI, and "hehe" is the inevitable giggling that follows.

I got the call. I'm going at 4:30pm today to get Tristan! I'm so excited I'm bouncing off the walls. I'm working from home today and that is a good thing. I'd be driving my co-workers insane today if I were in the office.

Yes it's raining. I realized I don't care. I'm not waiting for a sunny day since this will make my day sunny!

I just got mine! If it wasn't raining right now I would be out driving instead of being at work....

Drivng back on the freeway I thought the wipers were broken - they wouldn't come on. Finally I notice in the mirror the rear wiper going like crazy, I was turning the wrong ****. LOL.

Tristan's home!

Taking delivery:

I've put some more phots in my gallery. Since it was dark and raining when I left the dealership I didn't do much motoring. I'm looking forward to getting to know Tristan this weekend. Rain or shine. He handled his first rain like a trooper so I'm not worried that he'll melt.

WetNoseRanch - I know what you mean. My husband called me from his car on the drive home and I pushed the wrong button and got things all messed up. It took me 5 minutes to figure out how to call him back. I still don't know how to answer a call. LOL

Alan-a-Dale is home! Here, have a cigar! I got out of work early, changed my flight from tomorrow morning to this afternoon and picked him up. I just got back from my 300 mile drive from Albuquerque so I have a little bit of experience with him. It is a night and day difference between this '08 Clubbie and my '05 MC. There is almost no gokart like feel anymore and the ride is more refined. Transmission and engine are great. There were three things wrong though. No bonnet stripes, no mudflaps, and no floor mats. I ordered it with the base carpet mats but I ended up purchasing the rubber mats at the dealer. I like them better anyway. I may get stripes when I take it in for service but I'm in no rush. More later.

I answered a call from my wife on the way home - major accomplishment!

Now if I can just figure out where to store my sunglasses....

Okay, so, I was a little bummed out when it started raining after I had just spent an entire afternoon of my No Work Monday to detail after a long weekend of driving, but then, I got to use the Windshield Wipers. That AUTO feature is SO cool. I've spent a lot of time describing that to people... they think I'm crazy! (oh, i might be...)
