To coin a phrase--"He (She) looks fabulous, dahling!!"

Boy I bet the Clubman was happy to be on solid ground after that boat trip. I love the upholstery with that color. I don't think I've seen that combo outside of the chocolate and it really looks great.

Congratulations! Hope you both stay safe out on that road in California. I am not a fan of the big city traffic over there.

Congratulations on both your MINIs and THANKS for posting pictures. It'll tide me over until I get mine. And I still don't know when it will be. My MA and I can't find a date that works for us (he's going to be in LV Mon-Tue) I'm out of town Wed, They're having a party Fri, I'm out of town Sat. So now I'm waiting to see if Thursday will work.....it wasn't ideal for me, but I'm getting frantic....
Today I'm off to a dog show in San Jose so my mind will be off the wait (though I was SOOOOO hoping to be driving my MINI to SJ....oh well)

Have fun with your MINIs this weekend!!! and Congratulations again!

We picked ours up yesterday too! No pictures yet - sorry - it was dark by the time we left the dealer. Today it's nice and sunny and we hope to get some good shots and post them later.

Wow - we love the Clubman! A tiny misunderstanding during the ordering process left us to order some new interior pieces that the dealer is going to swap out for us, so it's not as it should be - but in a couple of weeks it will be.

I have to get a small brush to get in between the wheels. Can't stand to see brake dust on them.
I'm anxious to get to know Otto's shape when I finally get to wash and wax him. Since I have a screwed up rotator cuff I'm really glad he isn't a Hummer. Smaller is better in this case.
What wax are you using? I have Xymol products for the 330 Ci, but I bought all the items from Detailers Paradise too. Rich wanted me to use wax from Griot's. Hard decision. Xymol goes on and off so nicely and smells great! I'm not sure if the Xymol for the BMWs is ok for the MINIs too.
Well I use to do meguar's in my old MINI, it always looked amazing, however i had to do it often to keep it like that. Now i decided to try prima products, I bought them like a month ago and tried them on the SUV and i was very surprised! its been a month and the SUV look slike it was just waxed yesterday. I just detailed the interiors of the mini using Nero which is the rubber protectant and it is amazing too, no oily plastics anymore, but they look all black and shiny (not like glaze shine). Also i just did the paint cleaning with Amigo and you can feel the paint really Smooth. I'll wait a couple hours and then i'll do the waxing with Epic, will post pictures later

EMC, Donna/Mike, Club(wo)man, y'all are so blessed! Don't spend time on the computer, get out and get familiar with your new babies! I 'm pretty sure I will get mine this week. It is supposed to be tomorrow but I think the winter weather has slowed down the road travel. I was at the Clubman Launch party at Sandia Mini so at least I got to see and feel the Clubmans. Really impressed. I know some of y'all are Mini Usa OL'ers so you can see the launch party images I took. And for you still waiting like me, this is the week!

Fun seeing other cars that were on the same boat as ours. Hope everyone will post pictures.

We pick ours up first thing in the morning, then we'll find a good place to take a bunch of pics. Should be a fun day. And after 58 days, we're ready to finally get it. I just hope it's everything Scott wants it to be.

My friend showed up at my door and asked if I wanted to go for a ride in his new Civic... feeling the new car excitement, I eagerly joined him. I asked him where he was taking me and he said, "well, I figured you might want to go by the MINI dealer to take a look at your car, since you can't have it until Wednesday."

WOW!

We went by the dealer and after searching high and low, they found mine, hidden away in a corner. He looks BEAUTIFUL! I hadn't expected to see him today, so I was totally unprepared and without my camera, so I took a few pics with my cameraphone. Now I'm thinking that I'll definitely have to take a half day on Wednesday to go play with him.

I saw a bunch of clubbies sitting on the roof of the parking lot and they looked great. They must have come in on the same ship??

Yay MINI-dom!

My MA wrote today after getting back from the Vegas training. My Clubby should be in Scottsdale in two days. Not sure how long it will take for the ultrashield to be put on, plus mud flaps and tint. By the time I selected all the places for Ultrashield the car is nearly coated in it- Rear bumper (for dog protection, door cups, mirrors, bonnet, front bumper, grille, fenders). I just don't want rock chips. We'll see how this works out. I never had this done on any car before.

Donna/Mike, Those are great photos! Your Clubbie looks wonderful and the two of them side by side are really cool. Is that Traveller really your daily driver?!?! Awesome!

Thanks! And yep - the Traveller is my daily driver. I had a MCSC but I've wanted a Woodie since I was a child. So I made the sacrifice (no flames please) and sold my Cabrio to get the Woodie. We had it shipped from UK - some upgrades done before it shipped, so that I could drive it daily, including the freeway - LOL!! It is quite the conversation piece wherever I go. I get at least one business card on the windshield every week and people stop us all the time to ask questions, give us the thumbs up, etc.

If we had more garage space, or driveway space, or street space, I would have kept the Cabrio - but it was one or the other....so the Woodie won out...

So the Clubman was a must for the stable...

Just back from Las Vegas last night and my mind is spinning with the hope that my MA will call today.

Driving into LA in my truck (hauling the race car trailer) we got passed by a Mini in the same color combo and I thought - hey, somebody is driving my Mini!

I always thought MINI was a rare car to see on the road. Just doesn't seem like there are an abundance of them around. But yesterday we saw like 6. Ok, so one was shortly after we left the dealer, but the others were far from there.

Probably be seeing a million of them now.

I've been seeing more of them in our town, too. Nearly every day driving home I see one or two.
I'm hoping that if they are more common they won't be hurt as much in parking lots. It seems that people who purposely damage cars ignore our two SUVs, but they always go after the showy cars. Sad situation.

Ok, it's 1:30 on the day that the car is supposed to be at the dealer and no news so far. I'm determined not to call.... I have work to do anyway...

Do not call, do not call, do not call..

EMC.Guy - did Niello MINI do anything special when you picked yours up?

And I'm being a ninny because my OL date says estimated delivery to the dealer on 2/17, but because of my MA's schedule and the option installs needed I couldn't pick it up then. So now I'm looking at the rain that has started and is supposed to go through the week and I'm thinking of all the sunshiny days I missed out on! (2) And that I'll be driving it for the first time in the rain.

As I said, I'm being a ninny. I just want my MINI already! I'm so impatient!!

Just heard this from my dealer:

"Your car was just released to the truck and will be here tomorrow"

Yeah baby!

I too would like to express my dismay about the rain. But it could be worse, we could be on the east coast!

Yeah!!! It's coming to you!

And thanks for the reality check about the rain! I needed it.

My Clubman arrived at the dealer tonight. It was a rough day though. I wanted to pick it up when the weather is good as it's a 130+ mile drive. Saturday looked good, but the MA didn't want me to pick it up then as the dealership is busy. Can't get it Sunday as my ride down has plans. So it has to be Saturday or Monday. Plus they increased the price of the tint to $325 as the Clubman is "Bigger." Then they put the price of mudguard installation to $250 (the parts are $100). The Clear bra was going to cost $1200.
On top of it all they wanted a personal check rather than a secured bank credit line check for the same bank they work with for financing. (Fine, I put the money into my personal checking account tonight.)

Bottom line, husband cancelled window tint, mudflaps and clear bra. We'll have it done up here instead and save nearly $1K. I'll just have to drive very carefully home so I don't chip anything. Of course, I don't have any chips on my 6-year-old BMW so maybe it will work out.

Cloud10, you are sounding like Eyore now. There are no rain clouds hanging over your head. Remember, you live in Arizona. Just greedy dealers trying to take advantage of you is all you have to worry about in the immediate future. You will soon be motoring in a new Mini Cooper Clubman so there is a bright light at the end of the tunnel. I get mine Friday. It got to our dealer last night also. Good luck!
