I am using my iMovie program for the first time right now. This is FUN!

(if you are planning a movie too, please continue. I really need to get out of the house!)

Well, the good news is my inlaws are hovering over my shoulder watching along side me! They're excited too! And I called my husband (who's at home) and made him get on the camera site and look at a picture while I was on the phone with him.

Next I'll have to time my departure from Millbrae back to Sacramento so I can see the next lock at home!!! LOL

I'm not nuts!

Had to drive down to my shop so lost the last 25 minutes, but at least I made it here in time to see her in the Lock.
Lord, no one ever comes to my shop anymore, but this will be the day as all I want to do is sit and watch this.

So as I go through the 20+ pictures I've taken and look back at the time stamps I realize I've been sitting at the computer for an hour and 10 minutes since it started through the lock and it isn't out of the picture yet! Wow. I actually had no idea this much time passed until I looked at those time stamps.

I have screen shots (like 24) but no movie since I'm technology challenged. Will anyone be able to post a movie? Please, begging?

Ok, so who is going to hang out all day watching the Centennial Bridge cam to get a shot?

Any time estimate on on reaching the Gaillard Cut? 15 miles across Lake Gatun.

I'm here all day. Just had a customer. What did I say. If I have something important like this then people actually come in. Amazing! But at least I sold something. Poor bear store is suffering right now. Glad I have another business that pays me.
Back to the Web cams.

We have a script running that's grabbing images from each camera every 30 seconds. We woke up too late for the Gatun locks. But we'll get the other two.

Thanks for all you have done. Appreciated by those of use who are technically challenged. I edit computer books for a living, but can't apply much of it.

What kind of shop do you have?

Lived long in Prescott? I haven't been there for years - last time my wife and I were there was for TT West in (I think) 2003. It was a gather of Audi TT's.

It's no problem. Simple enough to do, and much easier then sitting at the computer all day worrying about it.

But some of you are vigilant. There was no way Isolde was getting by without beeing seen by someone.

Btw, you have a bear shop? As in teddy? or grrr?

It's a stuffed animal shop-The Bear Pawse. Owned it 20 years, it has never paid me. I'm a technical editor/proofreader (33 years) and that is my good job. Mostly books for Addison Wesley, Houghton Mifflin, Brooks Cole...
Prescott has changed tooooo much. Way too much traffic with different atmosphere here now. I've been here 27 years.
After the shop property sells we would like to move to Las Cruces, or Benson (AZ).
When the Clubby arrives I'll take my mom on a little road trip and my sister will stay home to watch over my husband in case something happens and to help him. (muscular dystrophy in a wheelchair full time now). I can't leave him alone, so it makes it hard looking for a new home.
It will be so great to get on the road with the MINI.

Will Isolde be going left to right under the bridge? I think that's correct, but not sure.

I appreciate a good stuffed animal, so I'm trying to find your store, but can only find some references to it. Do you have an online shop?

The ship will move toward you as it comes under the Centennial Bridge. There's one coming through right now.

I don't have an online shop, too busy with proofreading to do that, but I do have an Ebay store. Look under Ebay stores and search for The Bear Pawse. It should come up. I have about 13 pages right now. It is my saving grace with so few walk in customers, but the town now is proud to have 2 Super Walmarts. 52 small businesses have closed since, and now Prescott wonders why sales tax income is down. Duh! My sales tax for December was $32. it used to be $600 t0 $700.
Oh well. I love editing. It relaxes me and it pays well after all these years.

I checked Google earth and according to the antennas position, it should appear from Right to Left.

The bridge shot looks like one of the cargo ships that preceded Isolde. If so, then she can't be far away.
By the end of today I'll be up to 3rd Gear at this rate.
Wish my dad was here. He was a wooden sailboat builder, designed subs in WWII, he would have loved to see this. But then, maybe he is...

That's too bad, it's like you're living the movie "You Got Mail". But, I found your Ebay store. I'll browse around.

So, shortly after we started capturing the images, they changed the angle on the Miraflores Locks cam.

Sorry to hear about that - we have much of the same going on here. Agua Dulce is a small community (now about 3,500 people) and we've lived here 18 years. Its not incorporated but county restrictions keep the minimum lot size to 2.5 acres. Lots of people have horses, for us of course its dogs.

No Wal-Marts yet and not even a lot of businesses but there is a lot of anger here about some deals that the county made with developers.

But life goes on and its a reality that people want to move to the nice places and in doing so change them, usually for the worse.

I imagine we'll move on some day for the same reasons. Ironic.

Cloud10, there are too many places in Arizona to pick. I was in Safford, AZ a month ago and it was pretty nice. Las Cruces isn't bad but it is growing fast and will suffer growing pains. I love the Tucson area but it has grown way too much. Green Valley is really nice and quiet and it is close to my main hobby of wild bird photography in Madera Canyon. Up north around Flagstaff is another wonderful place. I could go on as you see......
