Wait, are you talking about a roof graphic or something, or that's the fun weekend you have lined up?

Welcome to the loony bin and enjoy your stay! You seem to be maintaining a modicum of dignity in the final stretch. Most of us were naked and howling in the streets. Good luck!

Some of use are still naked and howling in the streets. Uh,..ain't that normal?

Well valthun, you just snuck right on in there. Gotta watch those quiet ones. They are the most likely to explode or implode when lest expected.

Welcome to our little niche. It is good to get some more help. The battle against the lint has been tough. We have lost a few along the way. Our numbers are weak, but our resolve is mighty!

So I am on the configurator, piecing it together again for fun, the upholstery I am getting Checkered Carbon Black can't be selected with the NFR. So did anyone else with NFR get that upholstery?

That's cool valthun. So did I guess from your other thread that you're picking one up that the dealer had already ordered? I've got the plain 'ole leatherette (with the sport seats) and am pretty happy with it.

Skuzz, you ain't peeved, didn't you want one of the unavailable interiors? Those basteeeds.

Yeah I went with one that was pre-ordered and on the boat already and actually picked it out of the list because of the interior. To be honest BRG is my favorite color on the MC, but that new NFR is really nice.

Hey Skuzzy might I get one of the NFR banners?

I DID!! I didn't order it that way, I just got very lucky. I built MY MINI, and sent it to the dealer, he found one at port that almost exactly like I wanted. The only difference was it had the checkered seats, and blk instead of chrome mirror caps, and piano blk interior. I tried to build it that way but couldn't do the checkered with NFR online either.

I picked my baby up last Saturday, guess I'm a Mini newbie??

Welcome Tess! Like Skuzz..or Roo suggested...we've lost a few valiant (or was it valium) souls...but it's so nice to have some new warriors!

I have the checkered cloth seats...but I'm in Canada and we do everything differently (for instance, our speedos go up to 240 - km/hr)....

Folks..Bubbles is back from his surgery and pics are posted in my Gallery.
Roo: There is a button for the driving lights (in pic). They only come on when you press the button and put on your HiBeams....only you can't have headlights, driving lights, and fog lights on at the same time....

It's either the loBeams and fogs, or HiBeams and Driving Lights....JUST HOW DO THEY EXPECT ME TO SEE?

Ok, so then this is something the dealers may get, but not something that can be ordered custom with the color choice. Hmm very interesting.

Here is the URL to the bare NFR image tag.

Just stick that between the SIGPIC and /SIGPIC tags in your signature.

WOW! Congratulations Tess! Just snuck right on in there, ya did.

Seems some of he interior options the configurator does not allow could actually be gotten with NFR. I am a bit g;ad I did not persue it though. I ended up with the gotham gray and I really like it with NFR. I also ended up with the leatherette seats, which in hindsight have proven to be a really good choice for us.
We went river tubing a couple of weekends ago and had I had to worry about leather seats with wet/damp suits, I would have been a wreck. Romi is proving to be the best travel companion,...next to the Wife unit,..of course. hehe

Ohhhhh. The new goggles look great on Bubbles! Who cares if you can see, as long as Bubbles can!

You have the list of NFR owners? Need to update. Even though it seems we have lost some (probably due to excessive motoring), it seems our legions are growing! What do we have now? 7 or 10!?!? These new peeps could turn the tide in the battle against the lint!

Welcome Tess! For the newbies, you're very warmly welcomed in the NFR regardless of your level of (in)sanity, you merely have to tolerate ours. Pics make us happy! Especially to see that interior!

D-nice lamps! I definitely prefer the restraint of the dual lamps compared to the rally-style 4-lamps. Bubbles is very perrrty in her new accessories!

That makes 10 now. But where did all the others go? Remember Muse? kimmc? I can't believe that we're becoming veterans! We must keep the dream alive. One day, there will be no such thing as lint!

It's OK if not everyone needs to that daily valve-release of insanity. kimmc regularly stops by. Muse on the other hand got in her car and drove off for good I think! Maybe the ragtop allows for more of the lint to just blow away and she doesn't need the support!

Thanks for the list Dennis, maybe we could get the car names in there too?

Welp, I had to drive home through some very deep water last night. And this morning, Romi's 'check engine light' went off. I doubt it is anything but moisture where there should be no moisture, but I will have to take her in to the error cleared.

Supposed to be another flood today.

Done lurking I'm not officially a Nightfire Red owner yet, but I may be if the wife doesn't like Sparkling Silver better

Looking forward to seeing what a Retro Gas Cap looks like.

On a related note...can the standard gas filler cap be replaced with the Chrome one at a later date, or is it only factory installed? and what difficulty is involved? Thanks.
Since I'm new, my message had to be approved and after it was, it appeared in the thread at the time I first submitted it (June 26), so I doubt dennisd63 went back and saw it

The pics were great. I'm now guessing that the 'Retro Gas Cap' is the same as the Chrome Gas Filler Cap that can be ordered with a new Mini? If so, that answers my questions from before (about being able to install it at a later date).

Also, the dealer finally got a Sparkling Silver in and my wife got to see it. We like the Nightfire Red better. Now I just have to get everything finalized on what options we want (er, that she'll let me have ) and get it ordered. I'm thinking I want white roof, mirrors, bonnet stripes and wheels. Any issues with white wheels to speak of? Thanks.

Well when I get the Mini and am able to determine if it's a boy or girl, and I learn it's personality the name will come.

There's puddle discussion going on here that you've probably seen, don't know if anything similar comes up

hurray for Los Angeles droughts, but I do feel bad for hitting those deep puddles. I remember the monsoons in Pheonix as a teen.

I am in North Texas. The Dallas/Ft. Worth area. Looks like it is building up again for another flooding. The problem here is the ground is saturated. Any rain at all immediately runs off.

Yesterday was a good example. A good hard rain for about 10 minutes. But in the 10 minutes it got about 8 inches deep in the streets.
