Oh my. I had not noticed! WOOT! 1,000 posts! COOL!

A pie sounds awesome! Hmmm. Pecan,..no,..Apple....wait....uh...ohhhhhhhh Chocolate....yeah baby!!! WOOT!

 

WOOT! The Mill has arrived!!!

Now starts the two week process of building an enclosure for it, a cooling system for it, aligning it, seating it in, and finally.....MUWHAHAHAHAHAHA!

 

It's alive....It'ss allliiiiiivvve.....(zap zap of lighting)........

 

Can't wait to see what demented creations are in store! Have fun with the new toy!

 

Hey all -
I spotted a real, live NFR (that isn't mine) in my Brooklyn neighborhood today. Looks brand new. NFR with white roof, white stripes and ext chrome. Anyone on the list hanging out in Brooklyn? It's exciting to see a brother (or sister) NFR!

 

Oh WOW! I have not seen an NFR in the wild yet. Good spot there kimmc! And good to see ya again!

 

And still...we haven't seen a solid NFR or heard of one yet! If anybody wants a rare car...that might be the one?

Keep on coming back kimmc...it's good to have family come back again!

I do have a day job, besides doing my part to remove lint from the face of planet Earth.

 

You work in a Dust Busting Shop? Wow....and you have a CNC Mill!

Wow....The reason I know about CNC Mills...is that I work in a company that has some pretty high technology...and we've got quite a few of them around...I think it's pretty cool!

 

Coolies dennisd! Still working on the enclosure. I had to order some HDPE panel so I can form the drain basin.

 

Touch-up paint update. My MA today told me it's coming in two weeks. We'll see.

Here's today's nice story.

Good MA, you get a cookie!

I got a ticket the second day I had the car 'cos the inspection wasn't done yet. There's a one week grace period, but MINI said they would just pay it. I recently got a notice on the unpaid ticket, MINI claims it got lost in their accounting dept's red tape.

So today, the MINI manager just wrote out the check from her own checkbook, saying she'll get reimbursed and does it all the time because it's easier. Then they threw in the nice chrome license plate holders (that they had promised but didn't have at the time).

 

Ohhhh... Not bad,...not bad at all. Better than a lint ball sammich!

 

Our NFR Mini should be built up by Monday. That waiting thing is really annoying...

 

Hold out a little longer, she'll be on her way soon! Are you east/west/neither coast?

 

West coast: SF bay area. So, it'll be a long boat trip.

 

Mmm, I usually try to find the bright side in things...but I'm a bit stumped here

 

Zorg...be thankful you're not in Canada....Once they get to the east coast...they load the MINIs onto the backs of mules.....and there's 2,000 miles to go from our east coast to me!

 

Have any of you guys gotten a Mini welcome kit yet? I remember reading that some people got them, but I haven't gotten one yet. Maybe they stopped sending them out...
