I admire your restrained tone of acceptance Skuzz. Or maybe you've simply had your revenge already?

That suckity suck-suck sucks.

I saw 2 Days in Paris yesterday. This crazy old coot was keying cars in the movie, each time I felt my flesh recoil off the bone. I can't imagine how you feel!

So I gather this is something you'll take care of yourself?

Since I can't bare thinking about that anymore, I'm switching subjects...

There's official another NFR NAM member

Ultraviolet has been lurking for months, and maybe in a few months will swing by here!

(I'd put 'em on the list Dennis, NFR/W with white bonnet stripes)

Thanks Roo...I've added ultraviolet to the database to date. There's a lot of info missing, but at least it's a start!

keyed?

I would be FURIOUS! Why would someone do that? Pure jealousy maybe?
I've had 'El Toro' for 2 months now and do a walk around almost everytime I get into it. I just know that one day someone is going to whack their big azz door against him.

But, I must confess I opened my door on the that concrete thing near the gas pump last week :-( Luckily it on removed a little paint from the very edge of the door and you can only see it when the door is open and you're looking for it.

Should I have this fixed? Will it spread or rust in that area?

My wife is going to have a surprise in November....

She said that she liked NFR early in our color discussions, but as far as she knows we ordered a BRG/W MC. I decided to switch around some options on our build (dropped sports package and went ala carte with fogs, seats, and DSC and could now afford to add sports suspension.) and decided to change the color at the same time. The sales manager actually tried to talk me out of the white roof with it, but I think it will look fine. The white wheels might be overkill, but there's always aftermarket. I do think that I'll get either the chrome or carbon mirrors down the road, though.

I think NFR looks great with a white roof. (Looks great with black, too.) I can't believe they'd try to talk you out of that. If I hadn't been suckered in by the turbo, I would have NFR/W. You'll love it and you're wife will think you're a hero - at a least for awhile. (That's the best any of us can hope for.)

Hey Bacoes, welcome to the loony bin!

That will be quite a surprise indeeed! It is very strange that the dealer was trying to talk you out of it. White is just a very different look, but it was the same story with BRG.

Good luck during your wait!

Didn't realize you were keeping a list. If you haven't already add me.
I'm in Conway, AR (near little rock). My baby's name is El Toro. NFR, blk roof and mirror caps (for now), prem pkg, spt seats, auto trans (I commute), piano blk interior, checkered clothe seats, arm rest, hmmm, there's more but I'll have to look up my 'build' and let you know.

I have been busyily working away at fixing Romi's bonnet so I have been MIA, and I....

LINT BALL!!! <PHWHAPP!> GOT THAT *****!

still need to finish the table for the mill! Sheesh. I have had the mill for a month now and it is still in the box!!! OY! ARRRRRGGHHHH!

I am taking next week off from work, so I hopefully will be able to get the mill table finished and get the mill up and running.

I was afraid the lint had gone Gulliver's Travels on your butt. I hope Romi's smile is fixed up good as new in no time.

Or she can be like me, a little funkiness in her smile adds character.

Tess had swung by before, no?

Oooh, and Tess discovered the NFR font! Sweet!

Thanks Tess...I had you on file..only not the details! There are a few out there who I could use more details...mostly, where you live, what kind of transmission, roof color, stripes...and for a number of the newer members...what did you name your MINI? I've got a collection in a excel spreadsheet because 1) I'm ****-retentive and proud of it, and 2) Skuzz somehow made me Secretary Dennisd.....so I just took it on!

Oh...and pics...I need pics.....I have some, but want to get the whole group! The more the merrier!

Yes, yes, dennisd is the keeper of all that is NFR. Without his expert sorting skills, there is no telling where stuff would land. And it is important to keep stuff organized, or you would have no idea how much stuuf you had and where it was all located. And some stuff does not need to mingle with other stuff or that could create some rather bizarre stuff which could go postal on your stuff. And that, is simply not a pretty sight.

Well LynnEl....I just need time away from this nut house I work at. I spread my vacation days out so I never go more than 2 months without taking time off from this zoo. Helps to preserve my sanity. Hehe. Have fun with that.

Unfortunately, she figured out that I made the switch. She noticed that I had gone to the BBQ place that is just down the road from our dealer and deduced the rest. But neither of us have actually seen the color in person, so it'll still be a surprise. Our complete build will be NFR/W, AT, sunroof, sport suspension, sport seats, fogs, DSC, and white signal lenses. Now just a long, long wait....

Bacoes.....now comes not only the long wait period and total insanity....but the naming process...you'll be buying all kinds of naming books, etc and a mad search to find just the right name, only to change it at the last possible second~!

What part of the world are you located?

Welcome Bacoes and Tess! Sorry about the bonnet Skuzz, enjoy that time off. I am still waiting to get the fog light on the Shak fixed, I can't bear to part with her for an extended period of time. Although, maybe I can get an S for my loaner and due some comparison motoring!

Add, VentureShield Clearbra added to mine. Hoping to get some nicer rims and stripes soon.

How do I get the logo? I asked once and got an answer but can't find that thread.

Dennis, I like the retro gas cap, I'm thinking I want one of those, just because it's 'retro' lol.

I've got the basic jellyfish wheels too Tess. When we ordered, I was very whiney about how cheap they looked, but the wife liked 'em. But she was right. Now they're one of my favorite, quirkiest part of my MINI! But if ya wanna go for more bling, by all means!

I didn't think they looked all that bad, or cheap I just think I'd like something with a little more class.

In the least maybe they make some kind of cap to go over the lugnut holes?

Thanks Tess...It's a bit of $ to get the retro cap, but the longer I own this car, the more I like that little bit of extra feature down the driver's side! It kind of looks like an S without the hoodscoop...I'm still wavering on adding turbo from the S and keeping the hood MC...a little tricky I know...but so much fun!

The other thing I absolutely love, even tho it cost a fortune, were the driving lights. We were coming back from the lake at midnight, and flipping those puppies on avoided about 3,000,000 deer....you can see them for miles with the driving lights on! Well...I've got the Xenons too....so it was pretty bright up front...I heard you could start a fire with all the light!

Tess, if you want a combo tag like mine and other NFR's folks have, just let me know. I'll be happy to cook one up for you.

Just tell me what you want.
