If so, what's the going rate for a 1:18 scale PW/B from Forever Young manufacturing ?
Cost would be minimal - I'm not interested in making a living from customizing. So whatever I would pay for the "donor model" plus let's say $10 for the couple of hours work to refinish and build. (You pay whatever the postage is)

Well, as rare as they are supposed to be, I thought I had found something special. I just got one for $10 and thought that was great for a 1:18. Is the quality pretty good?

Oh yes, very nice Graphics quality is outstanding Not sure what the % sign is for on the roof, but ............

You know the history right? Real estate in the NE and also the UK (I think ?)

EDIT: I just looked at the car, the % sign is combined with a 3 used as a backwards E in love. They are 3% full service realtors- duh

There are six different Foxtons MINIs. Don't know if they made them all in die-cast, but this is what the real MINIs look like:

So I guess that's a yes Thanks, didn't know there were that many! I have seen the 03 and 05 versions for sale on ebay in the past, but that's all. Trying to get a quick updated shot of my collection, but to get it all in I have to stand too far back :impatient

Well, I didn't know about the Foxtons MINIs until I found the Hippie one on eBay. Then I started looking. Lots of info HERE.

Holy cow! That's a lot of MINIs. is that 1:18 "Follow Me" the Kyosho? I see some Kyosho in there. Glad to see so many of them are liberated! If you ever decide to part with one of those GIANT RC MINIs, I know someone who's interested.

P.S. - You need more cabrios.

I just finish customizing the Alta Cabrio Model to match my Mini. Although not exactly perfect, it still looks darn close. Here is a picture of the model and the real one. I had to order the paint from an automotive paint store to be able to match it. Time consuming but lots of fun. More pics in my gallery

Tough to see them all at that distance too, I've got a few 1:87 and a lot of 1:72. The Follow Me is the Kyosho, there is also a CR/W JCW and a CR/W Aerokit next to it. And about those Verts.......... I've got all 3 of the 1:18 HW and the 2 smaller scale Maisto ones

I've got one more of the 1:10 scale RC ones, it's upstairs waiting for my son to get around to recording a wav file of the music it plays. Strange stuff, I tell ya. BTW, it's LY/W

Yeah it's filling in nicely I managed to pick up a few more JL White Lightnings and Rob has really helped with the Siku's I can't liberate too many more......... I'm running out of room on the shelves

Here are a few more updates, please give me a pass on the dusting

These 2 started me on the collecting craze: Homemade shadow boxes with screen shots from the film as back ground.

A row of HotWheels (yes the Orange one for the Turbo Shoot )

The 1:72 scale Hongwell racers.

And a few of the same but in 1:43 scale

Forgive the focus on some of these, still learning the camera

91Eunos - PM sent on possibly purchase/trade. Newbie here with just over a dozen collected. Great collections and thread!

Anyone know of a good display CASE for different sizes? Am looking to get an enclosed case to help with dust and all.

Btw, how do all of you keep dust, etc. off your collections? Rather, do you clean them? Spray duster?

Collection Cabinets

I have 3 of these cabinets from IKEA that house about 1/4 of my collection at the moment. I think they work well and the shelves are adjustable.

The 2 on the stool in my collection picture are from Big Lots, the yellow one was a gift from my son - so I don't know where he grabbed that at. I'll be on the look out for more of the big ones for you. Heading up to WV, so there will be new stores to check out

I'll probably outgrow this display case in a couple years, but it'll always hold the best of the best of my collection because it's SO nice. In the pic, you probably can't see but it has checkered shelves and sliding glass doors. Very nice ! If anyone interested, PM me and I'll give you the manufacturer's web address.

My 1:18 wouldn't fit in there very well so I bought individual display cases for them on E-bay... very inexpensive and easy to keep clean.

For Sale/Trade

Hello all...

I have these for trade (preferably) or sale. PM me if interested!

I think you all likely know the ones on the left and right. The center one, Super Wheels, I picked up at Walgreen's. .69 each or 2/.99!! The manuf. is actually Maisto.

A cool PURPLE find!

Was killing time at a Super Kmart before an appt. (don't usually hang there but now that I collect ) and was just about to leave the aisle when I glanced up and lo...there it WAS!

And it was marked $2.99. When I checked out $1! Cha-ching!
