I would sure be hoping for no opposing traffic on that road.

I need a smaller scale MINI so I can 'stay inside the lines'! I just realized who you are Andrew. Unbelievable about all the booked rooms for AMVIV. My second MINI event and first AMVIV. Can't wait!

Ahhhhh...I was waiting for this question. It is a real mousepad. I am a self-employed computer geek and I got this at my parts provider.

But, I don't know if I can get these any more. When I first got mine, I offered to get them/mail them to my Production Support Group and only ONE person took me up.

That's OK though. I will check it out and let you know.

Any others interested? PM would likely be best. This is nearly off topic.

Well after the post office held it for a week (apparently, if they are out of oversized parcel pick up boxes, they toss it in a bin and give you a notice to pick it up during 'open' hours. This morning was the first time they've been open that I haven't been at work.

The cars look AWESOME! Thanks again and thanks for my bonus cards in German.

Glad they made it! here's an updated list after shopping tonight:

8 of the new version (silver/blue) Polizei models
0 of the old version (white/green) Polizei models
0 of teh red cabrios
7 of the Follow Me models
3 of the black w/ Union Jack on the roof
2 of the gold models
2 of the green w/ white roof

2 of the Matchbox "Stars of Cars" Black w/ grey trim on the bottom (left side of the pic)

...Bonus was that now that I have oil change #2 under my belt and 1700 miles on the clock I can open her up a bit more. Told the wife we were out of cheese and I was running to the store...hit a sustained 142 MPH on a nice long downhill unrestricted portion of the Autobahn on the way to the Globus in Zweibrucken where I found these. 40 degrees and clear as a bell this evening....perfect driving weather and unheard of for early Feb in Germany. God how I love global warming!

Wow! Isn't the top speed on the Cooper S 135mph? Was the additional 7 MPH provided by the hill?

Got this today. It IS a Boley Tuner (a la Nogbors). Very, very COOL! I want MORE!

Nogbors is down to yellow, silver, black and red. Are these available anywhere else?

EDIT OK I am confused. The Boley's are a LOT like the Kentoys which this is NOT. Now to try the light switch (in my head and on the Boley)!

EDIT #2 OK maybe I am not so confused. Just turned over the BOLEY to look for the light switch. The base says KENTOYS. I'm guessing KT makes Boley. Now here is the POSSIBLE difference. There is a hole (which MIGHT house a button) just in front of the cat-back. There is no button. Used a paper clip to see if there are any hidden ones. Anyone care to enlighten me? Ooooo...that was bad. Low blood sugar/selling a house will do it everytime!

Dunno...it's what the digital speedo on the tach was reading for about a minute solid! Just hit it and wouldn't go any faster. I am loving this aspect of der Fatherland!

New Stuff!

First off, thanks to MINILLA for the suggestion on the storage/display case. Got one like yours (IKEA) but in SILVER!

Also some new acquisitions and poss. buy/sell/trade option. Check out ToysRUs for a 5-pack of Super Wheels. Found two with a Classic red/white/bonnets and a yellow/white. Then in the 'singles' found a red/white/bonnet to go with the classic. Have one of each for b/s/t...preferably trade. PM if interested or want package pics.

The others are the black Urban Metal (thanks Turcicus for the eBay lead), my first Extreme Tuner (Boley)...sweet!...and the Red/UJ from eBay. Having FUUUUNNNNN with these.

Nice cabinets

Hi MINILLA,

Do the cabinets have doors and can you choose the direction the door will swing? I see a trip to our new ikea store in my future.

Thanks,

Bob

Yes they do have doors -- I don't have the instructions anymore but from looking at the cabinets it would be easy to flip the sides and therefore the direction of door opening. Mine are all hinged on the left side.

Since they mount on the wall, you can turn them which ever way you prefer so that it opens left OR right. Very slick and a good deal at $100! They come in a whitewash, black or silver and have 9 shelves!

If anyone is interested in getting one of the FOXTONS hippy 1:18 MINIs, I have found a source where I can get a bunch of them at a good price. So let me know. I just got mine and it's a really nice piece.

What type mounting or installation is required? They alsmost look like you could cut a hole in the sheet rock and have the inset in the wall but I may be missing something.

I found a couple of these 1:16 1960 rally Minis the other day. They are available for trade or sale.

You could 'perhaps' set them into the sheet rock but not as a flush mount beacause the doors extend right and left of the side panels by about 2inches so you would have a problem opening the door if they were flush. They have a piece of wood about 12inches long that screws into the wall and then the bottom of the cabinet rests on that and is connected by dowels. The top has a bracket that holds it to the wall.

Score! I picked up the Marklin MCS train engine at a store today along w/ a few shuco 1:87 cars!

200 Euro for teh train though and still need the cars (wagons) w/ the Minis loaded on 'em. This year's set is Porsche...might pick one up now and sell in a few years to offset today's hit to my kid's college funds!

I'll post pics later tonight...

I'm jealous!!! Did you get the Z or HO scale Marklin?

Patiently waiting on the pics.

I got a couple of requests from my cousin for Siku Fire Equipment, but left the catalog and his list at his house. I'll get it in a day or two and PM you to see about a swap for the Johnny Lightnings.

JL Red Italian Job - Clean

Hey everyone,

Just acquired (will be here soon) the blue and white ones. Looking for a red. Other than eBay, any other good sources?

Thanks!

Clayton

PS Interested in the 3 dirty ones, too!

PPS What does HOW mean (a la NIB and MOC)?
