Flik Wasps?

Wow those Flik Wasps are hot!!!

I saw them on sale at Edge Racing for $102.00 each. Is this a good price?

I also noticed they only come in 17in. Anyone know of a wheel similar to this but in 16? Is it true the price of tires is a lot more in 17in?

Also, can somone clue me in (I'm a girl ) on the other measurments shown with the wheel on the Edge web site http://www.edgeracing.com/wheels/flik
The PCD and ET?

Love the black with the poished edge. Is anyone with them going to Vegas so I can see them up close?

I believe the PCD is the bolt pattern and the ET is the offset. The S-lite has an offset of 48 so the Flik are 42. I believe the offset refers to how far it is away from it's mounting center. Edmunds has a little explaination on it.

And I sure there are going to be a few cars going to LV so you'll be able to see some in person.

PCD is bolt pattern. The Mini takes a 4/100 bolt pattern. This is the only patterned wheel that one can fit to our car's. Luckily, it is a popular configuration that a lot of FWD Japanese cars already use, so there are plenty of rims available out there for us. ET is offset. Our cars, as with most FWD cars, use rims that have a positive offset. This means that the wheel hub that connects to the end of the car's axle is pushed out X-amount of millimeters from its centerline. The optimum offset wheel to be used on our vehicles is +42 (or 42 millimeters outside the wheels centerline). When you use wheels that have a more positive offset than this you risk your tires rubbing on your suspension. When you use a smaller positive offset than this, you risk your tires rubbing the inside of the fender.

However, other offsets that are close to +42 can work depending on the width of the rim, the width of the tire you put on, and whether or not you use spacers. In thinking about this it is good to speak to a shop or someone here on the board about your specific set-up to avoid purchasing something that will rub, or worse, won't work. The 4/100 bolt pattern can't be changed unless you have your rims drilled or your axle lug holes changed (pain).

PS - $102.00 is a good deal for wheels.

I like the RPM2 but I ended up buying the Koseis because I got them at a good price used. Enkei stopped making them? If so, what replaced it?

they still produce them. its just that the size and offset specific for the MINI is discontinued. I think you would have to call Enkei direct to see if you can get them.
