was checking the air in my run flats yesterday to reassure myself About a consistent difference of 3 between interior read out and and digital measurement when I noticed one tire has a small bump - not a bubble (yet) a slight mound.
How troubling is this? I do local driving mostly but am planning a road trip to Boston 3hrs. If a run flat “pops” on the side does it still “run flats or ...?
Get it replaced ASAP. That’s from ply separation and if it blows out, then no, no run flat, just flat!
A lot of us dislike the runflats anyway. Save some $ and get a better ride by buying 4 regular tires and carry a can of fix-a-flat.
Fix it before you go. It is your life and property at stake in addition to anyone else in your path should you lose control of your car due to a blowout.

Yep, thats going need replaced asap. Some MINI dealers have wheel and tire roadside packages they sell with the car and some tire companies do also, check with MINI and if you bought the tires from an online place, they might cover it for you.
Ditched the runflats on my2015 S convertible. Bought 205/45/17 Continental from Discount Tire. Didn't like em, so they put on 215/45/17 Michelin Pilot Sports. They're awesome. Quiet, much better ride.
