Pot Hole Problem

I was recently driving in downtown Birmingham and hit a large pothole with my front right wheel. I wasn't happy about this at all and to make it worse a squeaking noise starting coming from i think the suspension on the right front wheel. The squeak comes when I turn the wheel to the extreme right and the extreme left. The noise isn't as loud to the left. The noise is definitly coming from the shock tower on the right side. I do not notice a pull while driving and the steering is ok... I was hoping to hear from some of yall what the problem is exactly before taking it in.

If you have any verifiable damage to the vehicle OTHER than the tire, you can report a claim under your auto policy.

Just be aware that hitting a pothole is considered a Collision claim (not a comp claim) and is therefore considered an "at fault" accident and can result in increased premiums (with a lot of variables taken into consideration).

sort of fixed...replaced the shock mount on the right front wheel but there is still a clicking noise whenever weight is shifted on or off the front wheels.

Did you check to see if the strut tower is "mushroomed". This is a common problem for our cars.

Not sure about the clicking.

Who replaced the shock mount?

I feel your pain. My strut tower is slightly mushroomed. I dont know if you checked, but look at the inside lip of you rim, It may have bent it to where it is slightly nicking the strut, which could cause a clicking sound.
