Rota Slipstream 16x8" ET34
205/50-16 Yokohama AD08R
Bilstein B14 dropped about 35mm
Camber -1.0 F, -1.0 R
Rubbed slightly at the rear at first when going over big bumps, but the plastic has "self adjusted"...

Hello all,
I have a 2014 MCS 2 door hardtop. Not dropped, no big brakes.
Just ordered some Enkei VR5 rims 18x8 with an et45.
What are the biggest tires I can fit that will not rub?
I believe I have seen 215 40 18 will go no problem but what about
225 40 18's? will they fit or will they rub?
thanks in advance....

Based on the lack of responses, I'm assuming no one cares, but the answer to this question is YES!

3SDM 0.66 18x8.5 ET42 with Michelin Pilot Sport 4S in 224/40/18. No spacers and no camber adjustments needed. These bolted straight on with JCW PRO coilovers with very little clearance for the front struts, but no rubbing. I am getting some rubbing on the inner lips of the fender arches on dips and bumps, but the fender is already wearing away so I figure this is a self-correcting problem.

Would you recommend running 18inch wheels on clubman?

Hey i just bought a 2012 clubman, i am looking to buy a new set of wheels i am looking at enkei y5s or m52. I definitely want 17inch but now i have seen some 18inch rims on minis. I just want your input on if going to 18 would be a good idea?

My R53 with 15x8 wheels

My 2004 R53 Mini
Enkei RPF1's. Wheel/Tire specs 15x8 offset +28 with 205/50/15 Dunlop Direzza Dz102's. No spacers used.

Wheels weigh 11 lb's and made a HUGE difference in performance; consider light weight wheels guys, you'll never want to go back.

Stock height with a small fender gap (before hight adjustment)
After height adjustment. Literally a fingers clearance on the front scrape guard. Not the easiest car to drive static.. but worth the performance!
Side profile shot to see the fitment, and this is prior to height drop. In my opinion +28 is close to perfect on the offset. Rear I think +25 or +20 is needed because when you drop the height, the natural camber kicks the wheel in a smidge thus losing the flush look as the front has. Mine ended up tucking a little as you could see in the pics.

I went to BSU, very familiar with the mountain roads, spent a lot of time on 55, 21 and 75. Wasn't as fun since I had a 1996 subaru outback wagon back then, though it was a 5speed and I pushed it to its limits! I should take a road trip out there in my R50 now!

By the way, you've got a clean ride! What suspension and brakes are you running?

Im running BC Racing Coilovers with EBC Yellow Stuff Pads/slotted rotors, however the brakes are stock. For me they've got plenty of bite.

No rubbing and rides much better than original 17 RF that came on it.

I’m sure this has been asked. Just can’t find the answer I’m looking for.

Hi. I’m new to this and have been looking online for answers but never get the exact answer I’m looking for. I recently bought a 2012 Mini with 15x5.5” factory rims and my tires are about as wide as a bicycle. I would like to know will a 15x8” rim fit on my completely stock Mini (non S)? If so, what would b the best offset? Also, What would be the widest tire I could fit without doing any kind of modifications? Thanks in advance for any help.

Yes they will fit but it's based on the manufacturer. If you go to Tirerack they will list all wheels and widths available that will fit your car. At that point then

the tires available. The other means is to call Tirerack and they too will help you via phone. Personally I have put a a 205/55/15 on a 15x5.5 inch rim. I believe a 225/45/15 will fit based on normal ride height and that you have not lowered your car.

Hey! Unfortunately im not familiar with the new minis, however I can tell you that 15 is a pretty small size so you can get away with a lot more play than say a 16 or 17 inch wheel. For my r53 mini (2002-2006 gen) anywhere between +30 and +20 is ideal for an 8 inch wide wheel. BUT thats for my generation. Do some research and see what will work for your car. I personally just went off what other people did with their cars, and it helped me get an idea of what worked and what didnt. Sorry that Im not the biggest help, but hopefully you get a great fitment!

My r53 gen Mini cooper. 15x8 with +28 offset (no spacers) lowered on coilovers with 205-50-15 Falken Azenis tires.
