Hey you have 16x9 et25 all around, right?
what coilovers do you have (camberplates front?) and do you have any trouble up front with spacing or rubbing or only rubbing in the back?

thanks

I have Megan Racing 1st gen coils on the front, soon to be replaced with VMAXX coils. I rub up front on big bumps, but otherwise it's alright. Camber plates set at -2.5º.

Yup. I'm looking for new coilovers but not sure which ones to get. Vmaxx seems very affortable but someone mentioned that they're not as stiff as i want them. What to do?

^^Get stiffer springs?

I really dont have problems with the vmaxx not being stiff enough. I lowered my car ALOT more yesterday and now I have business card clearance all around and it doesnt really rub that much more than it did before.

I'll post pics (and arch measurements) tomorrow

You'd be better off with a 215/40, but you will likely be fine. The only way to know for sure is try it. If you have to add a set of 5mm spacers it's no big deal or great expense.

hmm I have a new interest now. Thinking about ordering a set of 17x9's for the front, 17x10 in the rear. The tire will be about maybe 205/40/17 for the front, 215/40/17 for the rear. I'm just going to buy two rims each to make sure they fit so I won't be wasting a lot of money if all four don't fit. I'll keep you all updated. And hopefully I can cancel the order for the Weld 15x10 rims.

This is what they might look like if I really do go for it.

Let me know what you all think. I would just keep the ones i have now but 2 of the rims are slightly damaged/warped. It shakes the car pretty badly when i drive.

They're damaged because those wheels weren't made to drive on public roads. They're specifically made to be raced on where you aren't hitting potholes and bumps all the time. It is a well known fact that your wheels bend easily, and we tried telling you that the first time you bought them. Why would you try buying them again if you know they're going to bend again

Also, VW fittment does not equal MINI fittment. Im not so sure that 17x10s will fit.

Then again, you're still at stock ride height right? Why not spend money on coils first, then figure out what wheels you can fit.

haha yes. I found out that the 17x10's will be about 100lbs each so it's out of the question. I'll just stick with the welds that i've ordered already.

Thinking about getting a Carbon Fiber Hood for my Mini. Could someone tell me the best brand? I think I've seen ViS, and other ones but I'm not 100% sure which is the best one for the money. LMK thanks!!!

90% of the people who use that word deserve the criticism...it's just used as an excuse so people don't feel bad about falling short. They pretend that everyone is a "hater" and out to get them rather than acknowledging that the criticism or suggestions may be true.

People aren't "haters" for pointing out the flaws in your plans to help you out. We pointed out to you that your wheels were race-only wheels and shouldn't be used on the street. You went ahead and bought them anyways and a month or two later they're bent and wobbling just like we warned you. We told you that 15x10 wouldn't fit. You went ahead and ordered them anyway....and they didn't fit. You were hitting your arches at stock height and poking way too much just like we warned you.

No one is "hating" on you, we're just warning you of the mistakes you are making. They're just trying to help you along by suggesting how to better fit your wheels so you don't run into problems as you have done in the past.

It was wobbling the first day i got them if you didn't know that. They would be great rims if they weren't generic, made properly. I mentioned somewhere that maybe i just got a bad batch. Some other people were saying their Diamond racing wheels are working great. So yeah like i said, They were wobbling the first day i've bought them. That's why i've ordered the weld racing rims. Which are much a better quality rim than the diamonds. We'll see how they go once they come in.
