Just sold my s-lites (s-heavies), it looks like I have found my wheels! Gloss black w/polished lip on BRG-W.
Just not sure what size tires to put on it, stock oem sport suspension...

Ah, yes, sorry. (For some reason I thought the 17's that were going out were for you!)
I've got tons of OTHER colors/fitments of RB still in stock, though!

Shown (top left to bottom right): Gunmetal 17", Gunmetal 16", Flat black 16" (two sets), Gloss black 16", Gloss black 17".

Those are 17".
Usually, but not always. RBs come in 56.1, 57.1, and 67.1 hub bore. We try to get them in 56.1, but we don't always have a choice.
They will clear all MINI brakes except 2009+ JCW.

Did you also say in another post that these rims already come "hub centric" to fit the R53 Mini Cooper S model?
Any issues with clearing the brake calipers?

That's the wheel!
I've seen enough. The Rota RB 17" 7.5 (+45?) Royal lip Hyper Blacks are going on my Silver w/Black Cooper S for this summer. I can't wait. It sounds like the 215/45/17's and all will work out fine with my H&R spring kit set-up.
I have two questions though.
What is the stock offset for a 2004 Cooper S R53 and wouldn't it make sense to stay there as they flushed the tire/s-lites out pretty good to begin with?
and 56.1 hub centric is the way to go...? I don't understand the hub and hub spacer issue as I'm a bit of a rookie here. Is there a problem here? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hubcentric rings are very common in the world of aftermarket wheels, so it would be no harm if the wheel was 67 or 73mm; we'd just supply a set of hubcentric rings that would adapt from the hub size to the wheel size. There's no reduction in precision, safety, comfort, or anything like that.
We just like 56.1mm wheels because then there are fewer parts to keep track of.
The only exception to what I said above is that sometimes we get wheels that are 57.1mm. There's no off-the-shelf hub ring that is 0.5mm thick, so we have to run those without a centering ring. I've done that on several sets on my car, and never had a problem.

Factory offset is a little higher at something like 53 (depends on the wheel). But the +45 fits really well.
The actual MINI hub is 56.1mm, so a 56.1mm wheel will fit with no adapter ring. MOST -- but not all -- of the RBs we sell are 56.1mm hub bore.

Thanks for your thoroughness. By the way, do you ship out of state?
Dan,
How are you on stock of the 17" royal black RB's right now? I was going to get some black webspokes but really still like these wheel a lot. Also wich center bore do you have if you have them? Lastly, How much of a change is the offset and will I notice it?
I am going to just go with the stock tire size and am about to buy a set so now would be a good time to get these. Any rubbing issues I need to be aware of? Tried to find earlier in the thread and there was a mention but it didn't make full sense.
Thanks, and sorry for all of the questions. If I get them I'll send you pics of them on a PW/B with Aero kit.

None on hand, but will have them again in a week, give or a take a few days.
56.1mm, no hubcentric rings needed.
Only a few mm. You will not be able to detect it.
None.

Dan's the man (I know every Dan likes to call himself the man but Mach V Dan's the man for real). He's put up with my idiotic questions the past couple of weeks.
Dan -- so I decided to actually look at the freakin' labels on the RBs this time. 56.1mm, hubcentric, pop 'em in and go. Mine are going on in two days. Thanks for all your help and fast delivery
No pics btw because I am not lowered (yet) and the Mach V is nicer looking than mine.

The Rota RB 17x7.5 +45 o/s w/56.1 hub Royal Lip (polished) Hyper Blacks are going on my R53 Cooper S for this summer, Dan has sent a set out UPS as we speak. Thanks again Dan.
Dan commented earlier in the thread about running 235/40/17's with no proplemo (rubbing) and catseye mentioned running 205/45/17's and Msteadman is running 215/45/17's with Eibach springs and no comments of rubbing, now I'm wondering whether 215/45/17's or 225/45/17's will work out fine (no rubbing) with my H Sport spring kit set-up??? Sounds promising and both sizes offer huge options of tire availability.
I would be open to any thought or observations on these compo's.
Spring is almost here!

Ok, one more time and I'll hopefully be all set up here. Am I asking the wrong question Dan? "215/45R17's fit okay"... Let me go one further with you, do you feel maybe... 215/40/17 with my one inch lowered progressive spring package would be a better, more max'ed out wheel well fitment with no potential rubbing??? I hate to make all these dart throwing questions, so to speak but, for me anyway, this is kind of a fuzzy science. I think the Dunlop Direzza Sport Z1 Star Spec would be a good choice price/performance in the 215/40/17 size. At the end of the day, the $ half grand $ question is... do you think I'm there, or do you think of something better? Thanks again

Dan, I'm looking at circuit 10, circuit 8, torque, fighter 8, and group n models of Rota. Which of these Rota models fit Mini's? I have a 2008 base and I am concerned about fitting over the caliper etc. I wish to stay with 15 inch and use 195/60/15 or 205/55/15 tires. Also do the stock Mini center caps work on Rotas? Do you include shipping, mounting hardware (lugs and centering ring)? What about tax? Thanks I'm seriously loking at Rota for my car.
