Love the 17" RB. But a question about the 7.5" width. What size tire should be used? 215/45/17? I currently have a 215/45/17 on a OEM s-lite which is 7 inches wide. Will a 7.5 inch wide wheel make 215 tires have more contact on the ground? I am not sure I want that as I use all seasons in the winter...

205/45, 205/50, 215/40, 215/45, 235/40 would all fit nicely.

215/45R17 is great. 235/40R17 will fit on the R56. It bulges a little on the 7.5" wheel, but it's not too bad.

Not really. A rule of thumb is that the tread width changes only about 1/10 the amount of the increase in wheel width, so that'd be like 1/20th of an inch more tread on the ground from the change in sidewall angle. It's miniscule.
sorry noob here. what happens when we install this and we dont have the run flats on there.. i heard of a engine light coming on? how to reset?
If you have "indirect" tire pressure warning system (which all older MINI models have), you just reset the system (instructions are in your owner's manual) and go. This system will have a standard valve stem on it.
If you have a very recent-build car with "direct" tire pressure monitoring, you'll need to have the special pressure sensors swapped over to the new wheels. This system will have a special valve stem that incorporates a pressure monitor in it. (Anyone have a picture handy?)
One more question. do you have any of the wheels at your store?
Of course! In general, if I'm advertising a part on this forum, it means that part is HERE IN MY HANDS, and has probably been on our car. (Does that make us different from other shops?)
We have RB's in stock in both silver and gunmetal, both with polished lips.

Excellent news. I will be there in the week. Tomorrow if forumla drift in New Jersey falls through (I hope it does...I don't want to drive 6 hours to new jersey ).
Dang. I can't stop looking at those silver ones - may have to get a set. They're the right size, right offset, and under 20lbs. And a good price, too. Make a good replacement for the Panasports that were on the car...
