They are basically 2" shorter than stock. So they're easy to install, you can keep the cover on the bottom and they're not sloppy at all.

I can't help you with your question but have one of my own. It appears that your short shifter is literally a shorter "height" shifter whereas others leave the height pretty much the same and make adjustments so the "throw" is shorter meaning less horizontal distance to cover say from 1st to 2nd. Does yours also decrease the throw distance similar to others?
Reason I ask is for those of us who AX or track, lowering the shift **** height increases the time it takes to move your hand from the steering wheel to the shift **** and back. I doubt everyone will agree with me but I like the concept of the shorter throw or horizontal travel, but would prefer something pretty close to stock shifter height. I believe the Alta and B&M work like this although you can make a small decrease in the **** height. Those who stick to the street might prefer the reduction in height more than the length of the throw. Anyone care to comment?
I think...

I know that it was a tad shorter, but I didn't want to really mess with the lower end of the shifter to retain the proper geometry of the levers and cables down below. Keeping that dust cover to me was my final decision with it all.
Hey.. check these out...

Fear not the MSRP.. I'm sure my faithful distributors will keep those prices lower.

2 questions:
#1 Why might the Pillow ***** in the rear make the suspension stiffer?
#2 Are you going to the Monterey Historics?
Very much enjoying my Megans...thanks to everyone for their help...specially Meb...

Likes:
- independent height and spring pretension adjustments
- click adjustment as opposed to Koni's "count the turns"
- full shock travel even when lowered below my Hsport settings
- beautiful construction
- rides better than Hsport
- great turn-in response from linear springs
- takes bumps, cracks, dips with great poise without crashing sensation
- take crests at speed and you catch air as the wheels only hang down about an inch when lifted

- INSTRUCTIONS SUCK!
:impatient There was a two page on how to assemble the coil-over...thanks, but the coil-overs were already assembled in the box...WHAT I NEEDED WAS INSTRUCTIONS ON HOW TO INSTALL THEM ONTO MY MINI AND HOW TO ADJUSTMENT THEM...particularly, which part of the rear hat pieces to reuse and how to make height adjustments...Thanks to Meb for walking me through much of the installation - camber plate only allowed -2.1 limit...worked out for me as that was my target.
- no drilling template for rear adjustment hole as mentioned during developement.
Yup. When I opened the box and looked at the parts I was ecstatic.....then I looked at the instructions and figuratively wiped my brow thinking "whew, I'm glad I'm paying someone else to do this."

The instructions, Meb is working on a Detailed description for us all and I'll be able to include them with the dampers in the future.
The camber.. I can't really adjust that all that much because as you can see.. there's not that much room in there. And it also depends on how low you go as well. I'll try to figure out a way to get a little more camber on it, but if you guys have any suggestions, lemme know. I'll probably ask the Good-Doctor for any hints on that one.
The drilling template.. yeah.. that wasn't us. You're talkin about where to drill through the chassis on the underside to have access to the ****, right? I'll see if I can work on that.
Color of control arms. As of right now I don't think we have any plans of offering them in different colors... but I dunno, that might change. We just got in a LARGE amount of different applications for different cars.. WRX's.. Honda's.. what not. And they're all the same color so I think it's just what we're going for with that product.
The ones for the MC are Steel though and are easy to powdercoat. Any reputable place will be able to do it for you fairly easy and cheap.
The reason I believe the Pillowball upper rears may be too stiff is because there is no cushioning what so ever on the mounts. Which is the point... cause your suspension is more direct and there will be no play in the suspension what so ever. I'll have to ride them and check it out. But that's what's going on with that development at the moment.
As much as I love my Mini.. I'm not really in the Mini Social Loop.. so I don't hear about too many events that go on. Just the REALLY big ones like the Dragon and what not. I also work seven days a week... Literally.. I haven't had a day off in about.. 12 weeks now. Yes, even last weekend.
I talked to Aaron over at Outmotoring.. and he filled me in that he was going to have more competitive pricing for the Megan Products. I thought that's pretty cool cause he's lowering his prices as to where others tend to raise them. So.. if you guys want the goods on the Megan Products.. Aaron is the guy to go to.
P.S. MEB for President!!!

Yup, Outmotoring dropped thier price to $960 (I just checked) and finally fixed the spring rate info as well.....sort of. I think the rates are right now, but they look backwards to me. Here's what it says now "(335 in/lbs ft 280 in/lb rr) Spring Weight)".

...I've been trying to think of a way to add a caster adjustment to your perches...a double plate, but this steals suspension travel. Adjustable ecentric bolts...elongate the holes where the studs pass thru the strut tower - easiest. I would use nuts and bolts that posses higher torque values so these do not move. Steve, is there room under the tower to make the perches big enough to allow for a sliding hole?
As jlm once wrote, "to correct the factory spec." But also, adding a hair more caster helps to get a little stability back when adding lots of negative camber...and toe. But not much is need, nor can be tolerated. I think stock is about 4.5 degrees.

Anybody in Southern California have these yet? I know a couple guys in Mid Cal have them, but I would love to get a ride in a Mini with these on them. Let me know if anybody does. Thanks.

No, just not deleting stuff. It's empty now, thanks!
Also, in one of my replies above, I wrote about caster adjustments. How difficult would it be to machine elongated holes in the camber plate? The plate will need to be larger of course. The idea here is to correct for factory tolerance and to add a little caster as we add negative camber...up to a degree more. I would have machined these myself, but the plates are not big enough...the front hole is the problem, plenty of meat in the rear of the plate. Food for thought...
