DO IT ALL NOW!!! I have all four rear control arms. I simply brain faded about the swaybar endlinks...these are vital! I still don't know why my guys never said anything...and, I wonder how they balanced this thing.

Onasled, this might be part of the reason the car was a little squirely...aside from the 37 degree temps.

Rear stock camber is a little over 1 degree. I swear these guys added two degrees to my 1 degree spec.

Can I get by with two rear control arms to adjust camber and not worry about toe?

You can adjust toe with the rear trailing arms. loosen the bolts at the front of the arm in the area it attaches to unibody & the arm will shift to adjust toe.

Sorry also a little OT but how much weight is there to save by switching all 4 control arms?

I had heard maybe 20lbs?

I didn't weigh my Altas compared to stock, but just guessing from having had them both in my hand, I would say you would be lucky to save 1 pound per arm.
The factory arms are quite chincy, and their have been some cracking in the metal on some cars.
I wanted to change the arms for strength as well as adjustability without much thought to weight savings.

Hmmm for some reason i thought i heard somewhere you could get a 10-20lb weight savings because they're aluminum compared to the big stock steel arms.... oh well..

according to webb motorsports the stock ones weigh 3 pounds...so losing 20 pounds might be a little tricky

The new ones are made of anti-gravity aluminum.

I agree with BLIZZ, it's probably an optomistic 4 lbs for all four +/- of course.
Now, if these were fashioned from unobtanium...

I was wrong above by the way; rear camber is 1 degree 32 minutes - basically a nats hair over 1.5 degrees negative.

Extensions...

So yeah, we got some samples of the Extensions. I've placed orders for these already so this should be able to assist the issue. Take a look...

And...

The current sizes are 250mm, 200mm, and 110mm. They can all be trimmed down to size and they're easy to install. The only problem is that the adjustment ***** for the rear do not bolt onto the dampers like the front ***** do. They should still work, but I am just concerned about the ***** coming out of the dampers and then you have to take them out and re-insert the *****.

They will be available soon.. but not yet. Just giving you guys a Heads-Up. Meb will be recieving a set, so he can give you a further review after he recieves them.

Michael, PM me with which size you'd want to test.

Why would you need extensions for the front? I would want them to attach to the rear in a positive manner, otherwise they are not going to stay on when the bend up through the hole into the passenger compartment unless there is something to keep them from moving. Can you still feel the adjustment clicks? Thanks.

Not for the front, the rears. It's just that on the front, you know how you can "screw" in the silver portion of the **** so that the adjustment ***** don't come off? You can't do that with the rear so I am wondering if that will have a negative effect. Yes, you can still feel the clicks even with the longer 250mm stems. The longer the more subtle though; but it's there.

Ah, just an example. Thanks. It would seem to me there must be a way to screw the end onto the threaded top of the coilover. Are these "off the shelf" units? Also, you said you could cut them to length so which end is removable? Thanks.

Both ends are removable. They bolt on top of the *****.

How do they locate themselves on top of the coilover? Do they slide over the threads at all or does the flexible hex cable? just push down inside and hold it there? It's sort of hard to see in the picture. Thanks.

The **** isn't included, you use the one you already are supplied with.

This is how they look completely taken apart. Easy to cut and customize to size.

Another shot of em...

Ju like, yes?

Ok, what's the cup that fits over the adjuster **** made of? If it's rubber or plastic, a hose clamp may do the job. If its metal, a couple of set screws may be in order.

Metal, of course. There is a set screw on it with an Allen head.

Then we just have to keep the adjuster **** from coming out. I'll have to look at that when I get home this weekend.

maybe I'm missing something...but the allen on the adjustment is SOOOO long and it slides into the coilover right? It would take a lot of shaking and moving to get it up and out of the coilover against gravity.
