Using KWv2 on an EDC F56 without a cancelling kit?

Hi all - posted a similar question in the JCW forum but thought maybe this is the better place for it. I have an EDC F56 JCW, and I got a set of KWv2s without the cancellers. What would using them as is do? Just throw an error every time I switch Sport mode? Can I code out the EDC option from my VO, or is it more complex than that? A cancelling kit seems to be $400ish from KW, which is a little crazy.

Some people said they unplug and they did not gate the code? Just make sure the suspension fits as NON EDC and EDC have a different PIN size on the strut. When putting NON EDC on EDC cars you may have to change the strut mounts as the sleeve is bigger. Its like m12 v m14 or M10 to m12.

My search-fu failed me. Thanks very much. This is exactly what I needed. Top mounts for the rear need to be replaced but that’s all, it seems like.

Almost Same question here but in reverse …can I fit my DDC compatible coilovers to the latest versions of the F56 ?
I have an F56 SD with the DDC or EDC 2015 MY ( built in 2014 )

I picked up some KW v3 for DDC cars Second hand in back in 2016/17 and never actually fitted them, ( as started another track r59 project)
110k miles later im still not sure if to fit or trade in the old car for a newer LCI or 2022/3/4 car.

ideal would be to pick up a cheap JCW in December or February and look to run the KW V3 as soon as my warranty expires, if I know it’s possible?

I don’t think KW DDC do anything other than have the right bolt for the different mounting plate and cancels any warnings in the computer for a missing adaptive suspension. I sincerely doubt that the KWs actually change dampening settings - the difference between the DDC and non DDC SKU is only a hundred bucks or so (retail) but I think if they actually changed dampening settings with a button, some severe redesign would have been needed.

Long answer but basically I think you’ll be fine. Just need to buy the correct top plates since the hole IS different.

so for top plate could get some adjustable camber-plates as long as they are ddc compatible. Or am I mixing terminology.

Yeah that should work IMHO. Basically “DDC compatible” in this context means they’ll take a 12 nut instead of 10 (I think; please double check here in the thread somewhere), nothing else.

That said, I was looking for camber plates, and I really think the F platform doesn’t have a lot of choices, not sure why.
