Hello All! I'm new to this forum. I've enjoyed reading the posts. We ARE a different breed, proudly. My daughter thought it was most peculiar that when we passed another MINI, the driver and I exchanged polite little waves. "Do you know that person, Mom?" my daughter asked. I replied, "of course not. That's just something MINI drivers do!" (no pun intended -just realized)
That said, I love MINIs! I love waving to fellow MINI drivers. I love counting all the MINIs that I see on a daily basis. The best thing so far was finding a note lodged in my MINI's window Sunday night, inviting me to "check out STL MINI.com". I suspect it's from the unknown neighbor down the street who's lucky enough to park a different brand new MINI in front of his or her house almost every day! I'm checking 'em out when I drive by. So as it turns out, I will be an official member of the STL MINI Club tomorrow! I'm a little shy, so it'll be a little daunting attending the functions, but I'll let my MINI do all the talking!
I'm the proud owner of the '05 Purple Haze MC with the black stripes and the sunroof. She goes by the name of Lil' Bit. Please wave when you see "us"!

 

Glad to have you on board! I think that you will really enjoy the club! Our next happy hour would be a good event to meet people in the club and eat good. Our fall rally should be happening soon as well and is one of the best events all year.

I have only had my Mini for ashort period of time. The Winery run was our first event with STLMINI. We had the best time and everyone we met was so nice. I can't wait for the next event. You will enjoy being a member.

 

we're you in ucity near hanley when you got the note? i think it was me... i had just ran out of cards! i think the unknown neighbor is tony jones... sales manager at MINI of St. Louis.

 

Yes, I was parked near Hanley....... thanks for the heads up! I've never been apart of anything like this, so this should be fun!

It's great to have more wavers/honkers on the road. (Just yesterday I came up near another MINI and honked; eveyone else looked at me ... except for the MINI driver! )
