A lot of MINI sightings the past few days---I can't remember all of them!
Let's see, an IB/W MCS with bonnet stripes at the Schnuck's on Hampton south of the Hill. We waved at each other.
I was behind a BRG MC on Big Bend at Lindell; she waved and I waved back.
A LY MCS (I think) at West County Mall. We drove past each other. I honked and she waved back.
A BRG/W MC on Clayton Rd east of Ballas. I honked and she waved back.
My wife says I'm getting quicker with the horn!

You sure do get around!!!! No MINI sightings for me except Gary says he saw one pulling out of a subdivision off Kerth. If so, Louie may finally have a neighbor. Will be motoring out to Chesterfield & then to dinner in Washington on Friday. And down to the Lake for a little shopping on Saturday-surely we'll see some MINIs. :smile: :smile: :smile:

Saw a IB/W on St. Anthony's parking lot. Unfortunately I was on the 8th floor when I saw it!!!!!

CR/W MC heading east on Big Bend over 270. I honked and she waved.

 

Saw a PW/B on Big Bend in Webster tonight & a EB/W in Clayton across the street from Portobello's.

 

Last Saturday, we had dinner at 'Pueblo Solis' on Hampton (pretty good Mexican food, and margaritas!). We saw a CR/W MC and a DS/W MCS parked near the restaurant. These are the first MINIs I've seen in the Hill area.

 

The other day, a BRG/W MC passed me heading east on Manchester near Ballas. I honked spiritedly, but the lady driving seemed preoccuppied and zoomed away.

Saw a brand new IB/IB MCS parked in Kimmswick on Sunday. And then a LY/B southbound on 270 just before the Gravois exit. Unfortunately we were going the other way. It had what appeared to be a Green Bay antenna ball on it!!! Was that you, Dan? Ofioliti, I can't imagine why you haven't seen me. Although Louie is so dirty right now you may not recognize him as being red.

Let's see, if I remember right I was headed southbound on 270 sometime around 3:00 on Sunday afternoon. So if that is when you were there it could very well have been me! Maybe my first "being sighted"!

 

I was 2 cars behind a SG/B MC with two people in it heading east on Big Bend today. It turned into the Sam's lot near 44. A couple of people on the side of the road had to turn their heads twice as we went by!

That's when it was. I just knew that was your antenna ball. I spotted it from across the interstate.

Hi everyone & Happy New Year!!!!!

Today was a MINI kind of day in South County. I spotted a LY/W with plates DICAST on Sunset Plazas' parking lot. Also a light green with a white top Illinois plates at Gravois & South Lindbergh. Have also been seeing a LS/B around St. Anthony's & Gravois Bluffs.

My name is Nima, and I am a new MINI owner!!!!!!!!

My hubbie got me a JB/W MCS (I think I got the lingo right ) as a Christmas present!!!

We live in the Clayton/U City area. I will be the MINI who keeps stalling as I am just learning to drive a stick shift....so please be patient and supportive!!!!!!

I see MINIs all the time where we live, but then we only live 1 mile from the dealership. Right now, I am just too stressed and occupied with driving properly to acknowledge the other MINI's I see.....but I promise to be polite when my confidence is better!

Saw a EB/W by Lowe's at Gravois Bluffs on Sunday. But my eyes were still full of tears from Saturday & I could not get a wave in.

Thanks, Lois, but I'm still ticked off about my Packers. Argh! I had to watch the last half of the game in a restaurant in Denver. I missed the first half because I was on the plane. What a bitter taste that left me with. But like you said, GO BLUES! Hockey is the best sport anyway.

 

OK, two "close encounters" to report. The other day on 44E I caught up with an IB/W MC. I honked, and the gentleman gave me a thumbs up as I waved. Then today heading north on 270 just before the 40 exits I caught up with a BRG/B MC, I honked once more, and waved at the lady as she smiled back just as she headed west and I east. :smile:

 

God!! I hate it, i never see any mini's in my area. Other than 1 red mc that i saw at the last moment today and waved too as we past each other on ladue just before mason, I havn't seen one in over a month! I feel lonely, but then, i just stare at hulk as i love to.

Can't wait to see a lot of you tomorrow and meet some fellow mini-ers!

"Honk for ... anything and you break the law" That was one of the cover stories in today's St. Louis Post-Dispatch.

Wow! I didn't realize all those friendly 'beeps' I've been doing were illegal! Apparently, according the Missouri law "horn honking shall be used for warning purposes only and shall not be used for making unecessary noise." Similar laws apply in Illinois, Texas, North Carolina, California, and Nevada.

 

OK. I was in St. Louis Saturday, with my son, to attend the Auto Show. We were heading home around 4 pm. (to Sikeston, MO) when we spied a DS (black top w/ black racing stripes, I think) MCS ahead of us. No vanity plate but, the plate surround showed that he purchased his at Roadshow in Memphis, which is where I got mine. We were travelling south on I-55 just north of the Lindbergh, I-270 interchange in South County. We sped up beside him and honked and waved.

I have been watching this forum thread to see if maybe he would post before I did, but, it doesn't look like he has. If you're out there, identify yourself! We don't see many other MINIs is S.E. MO. If you saw a BRG/W MCS go by with SOOPR on the license plate, let me know!

Also - we've got a big pulleyparty event in UCity 2/21,22. This is an invitation for anyone who wants to come by and hang out with other club members/MINI owners to do so!

Well, the more I thought about it the more I remembered it looked like Aaron Geiger and his car (from pictures on his website). I contacted him and yep it was him. I've never even made it to a club meeting to meet anyone yet. Small world!
