Once again, saw 2 MINIs this weekend that were driving with blinders on!
Passed a blue one one on Kighshighway that wouldn't look anywhere but over his steering wheel, and same thing with a yellow one on 170.

I honked at several MINIs this weekend, but all I got was weird looks and people ignoring me. I guess it doesn't work when you are driving a Toyota Echo rental car! Flash should be out of the shop on Wednesday. In the mean time, I am stuck with the Echo.

Can't wait for this weekend! I will be bringing on of my buddies from Boonville; we will be trading off driving for the day.

Ofioliti,

That wasn't me unfortunately... You can always tell Bowser by his red driving light covers, unless they are on

Redbird,

That car looks like someone stole the 10" lites off a Cooper and put them on it. It just has horrible scale on it!
Maybe all MINI drivers that don't pass my test for MINI driving aptitude should be forced to drive an Echo

Laclede,
Thanks. OK, now I will know Bowser when I see him!

Mini sighting today: IB/W MC on Big Bend in front of the St. Louis Community College heading west. Couldn't take my eyes off of the rear view mirror.

My MINI is supposed to disembark in NY tomorrow. Can't wait to see it!!!

Yes, the Fall colors are supposed to be great. I'll be there next year, hopefully.

The Bumble and I saw a CR/W MC with sunroof this afternoon on westbound 44. I saw it somwhere around Jefferson I think and then I was passed shortly thereafter. As she passed I gave a thumbs up and I received a wave and a very nice smile in return. I stayed a few car lengths behind until I got off at Big Bend. That was the first opportunity I had to drive with one so close. And last night I finally saw The Italian Job for the first time. Made me want to see if she wanted to go flying on the side streets.

Saw a red/W MC tonight leaving Target Greatland at Eager & 170 with a door meatball. Anyone know who this is? Obviously a rather rabid MINI enthusiast!

My sightiing of the day: A maroon MC with W roof coming on to 44 Eastbound before Kingshighway. I gave a thumbs up as I passed, but couldn't see if there was a response (too much traffic---has to keep my eye on the road!).

On a different note, I have an EDD of Oct. 24! (Does that mean I can pick it up on that date???)

EDD means expected delivery date! I actually picked up Louie on my EDD-sort of like having a baby-sometimes they come on their due date sometimes they don't.
Hope yours comes early

The Bumble and I spotted a BRG MC pulling out of what I think is the Montessori school across the street from Meremec Community College on Big Bend in Kirkwood. There were a couple of kids in the back I believe and the driver and I exchanged waves. He may have had an STLMINI.com sticker but I couldn't tell for sure.

Dan,
I'm surprised I don't see you & the Bumble. Looks like you hang out in the same neighborhood.

I finally saw a MINI in South County but I think she was just passing thru. It was a Indy Blue/W by Caleco's on Tesson Ferry. I was heading for my favorite Starbucks & she didn't even notice Louie & me.

Still waiting for my Mini, but got a big Mini fix today: I was on my way to the Verizon kiosk at the West County Mall when there in all it's glory was a CR/W MC sitting in the middle of the mall right next to the Verizon kiosk! It is up on a stand like one of those horses you can ride for a quarter. Pretty neat.

Ha! West County mall is where it all began for me. Shortly after the newly renovated mall opened my wife and I went to check it out. There was a red one on the floor at the bottom of a set of escalators. I must've walked around it four or five times just in awe. I made up my mind that day that I would get one, it was only a matter of time. Finally, last July, our finances permitted me to place the order and since the end of September I've been a happy camper.

I wanted to say hello to all of you fellow MINI owners, and to the ones Waiting.

Also wanted to thank Paul and everyone who put on that great Rally. I am still talking about it to all my friends trying to make them jealous. I see a couple MINIs a day, in the Afton,Maplewood areas.

PS- I have an '02 dark silver, black top with the plates POOZ-1. wave if you see me.

Will do.
I am one of those still "waiting". I dropped by at the Home Depot/Boarder's parking lot last Saturday to pick up my t-shirt at the road rally assembly point. Wow. My wife and 4-year old really liked seeing all those Minis in one place. The drive must have been awesome. I only got to meet Aaron/Redbird73 briefly. I'm looking forward to meeting the rest of you (at the Christmas party???)

On a different note, I also found out that stumble-free software for the MCS will be available in December. Mac said I could have the ECU shipped to NJ for updating, but I would rather wait until December and just drop by for the upgrade. Anyway, it's good news for us stumblers!

Redbird, my wife asked "what's that Toyoya doing there?" as if it were 'contaminating' all the neat MINI's. I told her your MINI was hit by your neighbor (is that right?), and she sincerely felt sorry for you!

Regarding the stumble, are the '04 MINI's going to be stumble free then?

Yesterday I saw a greenish (don't know the official color name, sorry) MC on Dougherty Ferry at the intersection with Barret Station. The female drive gave me a wave.

This evening I saw a nice blue with white roof MC with Blues license plate frame at the Barnes and Noble across from Crestwood mall. Now that's a smart person. Almost as smart as The Bumble's Green Bay Packer helmet antenna topper!

(flame suit on, and yes, I realize they were humiliated by the Lambs)

Yes, I did contaminate, but I had a good reason! My neighbor did back into the RR of my MINI, but he was very nice about it and it was minimal hassle. I just got it back this afternoon. The paint is flawless; it looks as good as new. I really missed driving it!

On the stumble, it depends on if they are loading the new CD36 on 2004 MCS builds. You will know if you have the stumble, otherwise don't worry about it. If you want way too much info, go to the "beneath the bonnet" forum and look at stumble threads collected. I have spent lots of time in there, and now the fix is near...

Not having my car yet, I cannot describe the stumble from experience. But it sounds like it is a hesitation on starting up from a stop. As Redbird points out, you can read all about it here:

https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...ic=16788&6

From the way it is described, the Subaru I drive now has the stumble!

I'm not sure what the ECU is ("Electronics Control Unit"????)
