St. Louis MINI sightings!
I saw lots of brand new shiny mini's being unloaded off the truck at the autohaus collision and detail center. Including the last of 4 GP's coming into St. Louis. I am definitely happy to have my CHECKS back.
Saturday Dec 23 saw a silver and black with black bonnet strips, red and white, and a black and white on 270 as we drove South from airport to Hwy 55. Waved at all of them but we were in my wifes Avalon so did not get any waves back.
I hope everyone had a great Christmas and will have a great New Years too.

During the holidays we saw a yellow MINI with white top downtown St. Charles along the river. I pulled into the parking lot next to them. They were from Indiana just driving around.
St. Charles is getting more and more MINIs around the area. Four blocks away there is another PW/B, so there are at least two of them in the city here!

Last weekend I saw a CR with white top and UJ mirrors at St Louis bread Co. in festus and last night there was a BRG with white top heading north on Hwy 55 while I was heading home. Wed I saw a BRG with Blk top in Festus too.
We are getting more MINIs in Festus all the time now too.

In Lake St. Louis ...
... as I was crossing the parking lot of the National Equestrian Center yesterday, I saw a Chili Red convertible (didn't see whether it was a Cooper or an S), and at least one other horsey person in the area (besides me) has a Pure Silver/Black Cooper -- while at a horse show at Irish Fox Stables, near New Melle, this summer, I almost got into the wrong car!

It was around Pevely to Imperial Main on hwy 55, which I drive every day to work. I saw a CR with white top at a house about four miles South fo the 170 exit off hwy 55, close to where I live this past weekend too, many a new MINI for Joshua to play with in the neighborhood.

Thank you for the comment,, I live in Villa Ridge (Gray Summit/Washington area) and mine has tinted windows and a "KW" sticker on the back... are you in Fenton? I think I saw you one day on I-44. Don Flier Motors has an '05 "S" hes really trying to get me into... See ya around.. You will know its me cause I always do 80+ on I-44... Jeez I am gonna get a ticket in this thing...
Also, learned the Italian Job 180 on a parking lot two weeks ago...but jeez I don't want to buy tires for this thing every month...

Nope, not me -- we live out near Wentzville, and it's been a while since I took I-44 anywhere. (We must have a triplet down there in your neck of the woods.)
I agitated for a couple of years for a Mini before I finally got Mr. Sunnyhorse convinced. We went to the dealership so he could have one last test drive and get the rest of his questions answered, and they sent us out in an S. Mr. Sunnyhorse drove us down I-170, then got off at Olive. He pulled over in a parking lot, where, I thought, he was going to offer to switch seats. Nope -- he proceeded to do a few doughnuts, with a positively maniacal smile pasted across his face. We've known each other since we were kids, and I've never seen him drive like that. He was sold, let me tell you. We've had Coop for just over a year now.

They are only asking $18,000 I think for that 'S' at Flier, something like 40,000+ miles on her however. Talk about "lets motor"!
See you around.
I was just on 47 and 44 on my way to springfield last weekend. On the way back I took old route 66 for a lot of the way, had a blast taking a bunch of b&w pictures of old barns houses and animals. Saw about 4 mini's each way, I know the person riding with me on the way down thought I was nuts yelling "COOPER" and clapping everytime I saw one. I know I still love and adore my CHECKS.
Ok, who was driving a PW/B Mini on I-44 west and got off at the 257 exit yesterday? There will be no more Pepper White and Black Minis running around our neck of the woods.
MINI Sightings
St. Charles - It looks like St. Charles is becoming the MINI capital of Missouri. I am starting to see MINIs everytime I go out. I travel a lot and my wife whon didn't want a MINI is using it all the time. When I get home she now complains when I don't leave it for here when I go to work. My how things change! I should become a 2 MINI family.
My recent travels showed a Blue MINI in Ankara Turkey, 2 MINIs in Istanbul and the best yet I was up north in Germany above Kiel and saw an original Mini looking old and beat up, but being useed everyday. It was obvious that the owner used it everyday. It makes my MINI look hugh!
I am now in central Finland and have not seen a MINI yet. It is cold and snowing. I get home to my MINI on Friday evening. Hope the bride brings the MINI to pick me up. It's a 2006 MCSa PW/B.
Keep motoring, see you in St. Charles!

That's the great thing about Germany, so many of the Classic Mini's are still used everyday. I can't wait to get back from Iraq, this time next year I should be in the St. Louis area again with my 06 SB MCS, I'll be sure to try and make it to one of the local GTGs.
I got a friendly 'beep beep' from a Pepper White cabrio a couple of days ago as I was sitting at the light on Delmar waiting to turn on to Hanley.
(Oh, it was a nice sunny day, but the cabrio's top was not down
