Ha I saw both your MINIS pulling out of the light on the off ramp. I was going the opposite direction getting onto the freeway at the El Toro on ramp.

I parked right next to a PW/B with "checkmate" graphics at Mission Viejo Mall a few nights ago...really nice.

Exchanged waves with an SCMM-er with license plate "1BDMINI" on the 405S close to the 90.

 

Coming out of Puente Hills Mall, I spotted a Morris Mini, convertible, RHD, White with flame pin striping, had bonnet stripes, and chrome wheels, a United States flag on the rearview mirror, and a rollcage, sweet ride, I gave the owner a few thumbs up, got a few back too! Motor On!

Today I was driving up altadena dr. next to victory park in pasadena and going the opposite way I was going was another mc and he flashed his lights at me and when he got closer he waved...

First time I have passed another mc thats waves at others in mcs it was nice....
Hopefully he is on this forum...

sometime last week I was driving on the 60 near the temple exit and someone on a motorcycle zoomed past me turned around and gave me a big thumbs up

 

I was following a PW/B Cooper that was doing some graceful lane changes, north bound from San Onofre to the 5/405 split. That helped me stay awake. I waved but she probably didn't see considering it was dark.

I see a few of you guys in SD and I wave whenever I can. Hiyo! Keep an eye out for a R56 LaB/B mini with the JCW kit.

Sunday around 10:30ish I was following and then being followed by a blue/white MINI on the 91 headed East. License plate "GIT MNI." We both ended up getting caught up in the traffic out in Yorba Linda area headed into Chino Hills. Nice lookin car..

 

Is there ever a time when there is not traffic on the 91E in that section?

Do you drive out there often? My gf lives in Chino Hills and I swear I've seen a checkmate on the 91E with me before.. maybe it was you. Do you have a custom license plate containing something about checkmate?

hah, and yeah, I think in the 20 some odd times Ive driven through there so far, I've made it through without traffic like 5 times. hah.

 

saw a new cooper sitting outside my apartment complex. I think it was Sparkling silver... hard to tell in the shade

 

I keep seeing a red tintop with white bonnet stripes heading south on PCH in south Laguna Beach around quarter to 7 most every night - never a wave back though. Many other friendly waving minis in Laguna. Even got a wave from a Hummer in traffic....

 

I live in that area, so I drive on that segment as little as possible. Lakeview is my standard offramp. You can speed things up a little bit up to Wier Canyon by taking Santa Ana Canyon (S of the 91) or La Palma (N of the 91).

I don't have a custom license plate frame so it was somebody else.

 

I live in that area too. Lakeview from the 91 or Nohl Ranch Rd off the 55 are my exits of choice, and I head east down Santa Ana Canyon every night. I'll keep my eyes peeled.

 

I saw a CR/W MCS on Colima Blvd around 4:45pm.

 

Finally got spotted by a fellow NAMmer!
Yup, it happened this afternoon on the northbound 405 between the 22 merge and 605 split.

Yellow MINI was in fast lane while I was in the lanes transitioning to 605 when I hear a honk. I turn, he waves, rolls down window, 'lo and behold it was Revolution MINI Works.

That's some radical-lookin' MINI body kit Jan!

Earlier today I saw an IB/W Cooper at Los Coyotes Diagonal turning east on Spring with cop following. (hope he didn't pull it over for window tint) I was southbound and waved. It was hard to tell if driver waved back because of the tint.
