SCMM has a get together in Claremont almost every 2nd Sunday of the month. Maybe you'll come out and join us for lunch.

 

Quite a discouraging weekend from other MINI's. I passed 3 MINI's, one almost the same color as mine, driving down into La Jolla this weekend, and not one gave me a wave back. I guess two of them had some pretty intense phone conversations going on. Then, saw another on sunday sitting at the opposite stop light as me, and again, no wave back. So horribly disheartening.

 

I got waves. Not arms-flailing-out-the-window waves, but the arm-by-your-side-with-the-windows-rolled up type.

 

If they're on the phone, I don't even bother trying to get their attention or see if they would see me wave.

edit: but kudos for trying.

 

Saw a PW/W Mini Cooper on Barranca and Culver today at about 12:20pm. We exchanged compliments on our wonderful choice of color!! They were quite excited to see me wave back!!! That made my day!

 

Saw a CR\W MCS on the 605 south at around 4:15 today.

Thanks for the compliment, you are too nice. I have seen some cars on here that are really well done. I painted my roof black (probably not too smart to do to an MC40 but I have never been accused of being smart! ) I will call you tomorrow to catch up (Tour talk?).

Got a wave back from a 07 MC CR/W today on Jeffrey and Alton! =)

spent a few minutes last night checking out a PS/B MCS with tinted tail lights JCW badge exhaust and a SCMM decal on the windor in the spectrum parking strucure. Whoever you are you have a great looking car!

 

Today around 11:15a I followed a PW/PW MCS down the 5 North from about State College and lost him at about Carmenita on the 91 West, tinted windows, chrome boot handle.

Also at about 1:45ish got followed by a brand new 07 MCS in black? with crevier paper plates, going east down Santa Ana Canyon from a bit after Tustin to Royal Oak.

 

Saw three MINI convertibles in Hermosa / Redondo Beach this. A blue Cooper, a grey MCS w/ black stripes and a red MCS with black stripes.

 

Saw a CR/W MCS last night at the intersection of Valley and Grand Ave. Received a return wave.

 

Are you ever around the Torrance area? I was riding with my roommate the other day (I think it was sometime this weekend) and saw a black checkmate sitting at in the left turn lane at Torrance Blvd/Anza Ave. (The checkmate was turning left off of Anza onto Torrance, headed west)

Was it you? Are you ever around in that area?

Edit - Actually.. I just looked at your gallery. This one was more plain. I would've remembered seeing your car. Looks real nice.

I'm sorry you didn't come across any of the friendly San Diego MINIs.

 

Was driving up Mt. Soledad this weekend, about 9:00 sunday morning, and passed a silver MCS, with a fat orange stripe right down the center. Don't know if you waved, but if you did, I apologize because I was not paying attention. By time I realized I passed an MC, it was too late. Anyway, sweet ride, whoever that was.

 

Spotted a Baby Pink / Black MC (2002-2004) heading North on La Cienega blvd this afternoon.

It was a male driver and he said it was his wife's car.

 

Did you believe him?

 

Got a wave coming out of my condo complex in Hacienda Heights this afternoon. Hopefully my wave back was visible through my window tint :0)
