SoCal MINI Spottings - Point Check Here!
Well I've got an 06 space blue MC.
I live off the 215 and alessandro and go to school down over in Pomona.
I haven't seen any Mini's in the last week but I normally keep my eyes open (excpet for the zone out times coming home from school). My normal times being on the road are around 10-11 and between 5:30-6:30.

I did see a nice CR this morning at Palisades and Coast Highway, and got a nice wave return
MaxN,
Thanks for the friendly advice. However, I wasn't going way over the limit not in morning traffic. Yes, I was in the fast lane for most of the time but even the fast lane doesn't hit 65 consistently. I slowed down to wave to you, and you were in the 2nd to slow right lane, and then I picked up speed. I did one multiple lane change, and I always use my turn signal and I make sure there is distance between cars before changing. It's morning traffic of course you're going to see brake lights that's why it's called stop and go traffic sometimes, let's not over exaggerate it. However, I think you just moved down south from LA so maybe you're not used to the traffic yet on the 5.
If you were trying to follow me, and as you said I was only a couple of car lengths ahead of you when I exited, that must mean you were driving pretty fast to catch up to me.
Let's try not patronize or police each other on here, it really doesn't do anyone good. If you had a serious issue with my driving, you should pm me about it.
Thanks again and welcome to South OC.

I saw a BRG MCS with a white top, and a DS/B yesterday out @ Village Coffee Roasters in Calabassas (or Woodland Hills, dunnno which it would be considered.) These were sitting around in a parking lot next to 3 Enzos, a mere 5 Carrera GTs, and a CLK-DTM. Man, did those MINIs stand out !
Yuppers Dave, it was. He, and his g/f, Randy, and myself all hit up VCR. Then astra took me on a great tour of the local roads. Some incredible views yesterday, really stunning day.
Dave, i'll be going back next sunday, join me. Maybe those Enzos will be back...

On Friday, about 4:30pm, 22E/405S interchange, spotted a dark grey/Black MCS, Virgina plates with a friendly elderly gentleman at the helm. I got a windows down-how ya doin wave.
This morning, R/W Cooper 57N and R MCSC 405N/605. Both no waves..

Thanks for the invite.
I'll have to catch another one though, as this weekend is already fully booked for me.
Classic Mini spotted in a parking lot on Talbert and Newhope in Fountain Valley.
You: Red '68 (I think) with Union Jack on roof. You gave me a smile and a nod.
Me: HB/W with all the doors and boot open. I gave you a thumbs up.
Nice car!

Saw 3 BRG cars today, around 2:30, first one I saw was on cherry just before I got on the 405 South, then there was another on on the freeway, an MC BRG/B (I think) and had the plate LPRCHN1. Then another one on the 605 North. None even looked in my direction. I guess thats the curse of a bland white car. Then on the way home at about 7:30 saw an MCC S/B, got on the 91 East two cars in front of me, couldn't get close enough to see anything else. It was a good day for spotting, no waves though.
There must be some kind of Murphy's law here - whenever I am driving my wife's honda, I see at least one other mini per mile of driving. Of course, I don't wave to avoid being thought of as a stranger person than I am, and the fact that not many mini pilots are looking toward a rolling toaster for a wave...
I saw a Red Bull Mini here in town today. Back chopped off just behind driver?passenger seat (yet closed in) and a giant Red Bull can in the back.

Yesterday on the way back to work from lunch @ home, I saw a CR (didn't look at the roof) MCS with a personalized plate that read KOOPR S. It was driving north on Beverly thru Beverlywood.
I waved, but they didn't see me. No wave back.
This would be in addition to the NUMEROUS MINIs in my parking structure

Got some looks and I think a wave from a PS/B cooper, I saw the driver point me out to the smaller/child passenger, I waved, not sure if they saw it darn tinted windows. This was near the Orange Mall on Tustin. Err, I mean The Village at Orange. At around 8:15pm. The plate was RNCOOP, I think only got a quick look at it before they turned into the mall parking lot.
