Had to drive from Ojai to El Cajon and back today....but in my 4Runner! Had to pick-up a family member visiting Ojai from the east and also some large stuff. Well, on the way down on the 5 I saw a CR/CR MCS with mod exhaust and I believe wheels. On the way back on the 5 again, I saw a HB/PS MCS with the 06 hood stripes...great color combo! I love CR/CR as that is what I have, but the HB/PS is really good looking....love the silver roof.

 

in playa vista I sat beside another ds/b mcs. I smiled and waved and he waved back!! That is my very first offical wave!!

 

Spotted and then caravaned with for a while, a LY/b MCS with plates that read MZ BMBL. Nice to have meet ya!

 

if i time it just right, i now see the solar red cooper i mentioned in a previous post, every couple days going the opposite direction on my way home from work. after 3-4 unrequited high-beam *winks* i finally got him/her to flash back. yay!

 

I got my second returned wave today - PCH near Gelson's market in Monarch Beach from a black on black tintop!

 

Northbound this morning on Interstate 405 just south of the airport, I came across a CR/W Cooper and moments later passed a PH/B cooper whom game a big wave. Short while later the CR/W and PH/B coopers pulled in behind me as we took the Century Blvd short cut in unison.

Few minutes (30 or so) a MCS CR/Convertible W/Black Bonnet Stripes sporting German Plates (Real Ones), not to mention a very cute driver pulls up aside me and waves. I tend to see this one every other day or so and some times she has an equally attractive friend.

All in all, I must say, a great day for friendly MINI sighting.

 

Saw a GP yesterday afternoon - turning east onto San Marcos Blvd a little after 2.

Wednesday morning on 5 North through Pacific Beach and the UTC area I had a PW/B with black wheels and an aero kit following me. It had the trim around the front grilles painted PW, and looked very nice. I waved goodbye when I changed lanes after 5-10 minutes in traffic.

 

Saw CR/B MCC(S?) just as i was leaving work tonight around 7:30 heading down Artesia Blvd. in Cerritos. Had BLDY EL plates. I've seen this MINI before on the 91E.

 

I pass through Cerritos every weekday. (live in Norwalk, work in Hawaiian Gardens)

Wasn't me. I was at work, with the car parked right out front.

That makes two, possibly three in the SD area.

 

Saw an R56, with full camouflage around the bodywork, yesterday morning driving north on the 5 FWY in Sylmar. It was caravaning with a similarly disguised M3.

Now that I have finally seen an R56 in person, I like it a whole lot more. The rear bodywork looks a tad odd. It looks it has a "bigger" but. Although, that is just a small thign. And, honestly I never look at the boot anyhow, but the folks I am leaving in my dust sure do

 

Spotted maxmini today. Sweet ride, and hanging out in good company.

 

Around 7pm today, I drove on the 110 S to 405 S with a Pure Silver MC, Chrome Rims, and tinted windows. We had a nice chat about my vinyl numbers while in traffic. It broke up and we drove south on the 110 to the 405 south till Costa Mesa.

Ok this isn't really truly a spotting per se.....I pulled up to a stop light yesterday--a LAPD motorcycle cop comes alongside me in the next lane---I make sure to have my 20% tinted windows rolled down. I glance over at him as he sits beside me. He glances over at me. We exchange smiles--he says

"That's the sharpest looking MINI I've ever seen. I love those black wheels"

Then he takes off. I was spotted by a nice cop.

 

I pulled up alongside a nice gal in a Dark Silver S, with Ohio plates (I think it was Ohio) ... she sayed to me "NICE COLOUR!" ANd I sayed back to her "THANKS!... it's a little different from yours!"

This was Westbound on Olympic Blvd, near the Ralphs at Barrington. She wanted to say something else to me, but we didnt get the chance. Hopefully she reads NAM and can finish telling me what she wanted me to hear. hehehehe.

Well if she was going to say anything about my NUTS i'm sure it would have been something nice, coz she was smiling. Plus I got a glimpse of her tongue. I read somewhere that if a girl shows you her tongue that means SHE WANTS TO HEART YOU FROM BEHIND. YAY! HEART FROM BEHIND.

'Bout a month ago in the evening I was surprised to see an AB MCS Checkmate on the 91E at around Brookhurst. I don't see many MINIs much less Checkmates.

When I pulled along side her we both had a good laugh and a wave. She said something that I could not understand over the wind noise.

It was a great encounter that made my day. And she was quite attractive.
