Went last time (10/18/04) and enjoyed my first time on any track. Learned lots about track driving and more to learn, so I'll be there. Checkout the track layout at my site: http://coloradorick.smugmug.com/gallery/259230 or the low quality version attachment. While you're at it checkout MINI5280.org.

What are we doing up in the middle of the night?
I had the tint done at Schomp, since I was in for my first scheduled service. I got another new cup holder (vaporized the first one with a large cooler) and had them do some programming things too, like make the doors unlock themselves when I stop, permanent daytime running lights, etc. One fee, they do all the programming changes at once. It takes an extra day since it is a slow process and you want the tint on straight but I just picked it up last night at the meeting. Looks great, will cure for 4 days, but be ready for YY on Sunday. It is the 3M brand with warranty, which was a big part of what I wanted. Cheaper elsewhere? Maybe. Warranty and someone who has done plenty of MINIs mattered to me, tho.
Just for fun, Anthony there tells me he got a look at the new Tri-MINI at the SEMA show last week. Seems they grafted 3 MINIs together, in sort of a push me / pull you fashion, with one in the middle. He said in was every bit of weird. And, he says he is working on an all carbon-fiber MINI as a top secret project himself...shhhhhhh....

Just about to finish the last of a three day stretch at the hospital...then I'll be off for 5 in a row. Woo HOO!
I had all that extra stuff programed in at my last visit also. I am a big fan of the convenience opening feature.
You can buy a carbon fiber replacement for just about exterior part of the car now. I have seen many on Ebay...bonnet, boot hatch, fenders.

goodies
My Birthday is the 16th and I have some goodies on my ol birthday list so we'll see what the ol birthday fairy ( aka my hubby) can pull for the track day. Might have a new pulley. New rubber might be for Christmas.
Want a Pulley? You are in luck...
One of the fantastic items up for grabs at our Yalla Yalla on Sunday is - get this - a FREE PULLEY! From Randy Webb at Webb Motorsports, Randy has offered up the pulley as a prize for YY. You pay for install. Further, there is a rear sway bar also (Powdercoat Red) and a track Driving Lesson with Randy as well. All told, many hundreds of $$ of value...compliments of Webb Motorsports!!!
So come on down, do a good Scavenger Hunt, and maybe take the Bling!
Will John like THAT?????

Trinityblk, have I seen you around town? What do you drive? I might have stuck a card in your MINI if you are on our end of town.

Well we had four MINI's and the track to ourselves. How good can it get: missing out on the day after Thanksgiving madhouse at the malls and getting four hours of open track time on a fun and challenging circuit?
We had Jonathon there in his slightly modded beautiful silver S, Rick in his stock '05 IB/W, Brad in his heavily modded IB/B and my "slightly modded" IB/W car.
I think we all had fun, got our fill of track time and made it home without incident. My only problem was that I blistered another AVON Tech R. I really like these tires, they are very sticky, but I'm really not impressed with how they wear. They remind me more of how a pure race tire performs, lasts a weekend and then they're gone.
Rick, Jonathon and Brad all took some pics and Rick had a video camera mounted in his car and mine for part of the day. Hopefully we can get some video of a lap around Pueblo and some pics up for all to enjoy.
