Manic stage 2 JCW intercooler option

Hello all. I want to start building towards a stage 2 tune and was looking at the stock JCW R60 intercooler. Anyone running the upgraded JCW intercooler on a R60/61S? Comments/issues? Thanks in advance

as far as i know there is now difference between the IC's.. they are the same #

**Ebay can help you out though, as near 90% of anything available will be made in China.. so may as well order it from the source for 1/3 price.

I was talking about this one which is bigger than the stock 17512751277

You can find it for ~$400. It’s pricier than the Chinese copies but if it’s performing well and fits better then it might be worth it. Also since it’s a mini part if I end up selling the car down the road it’s one less part to replace to bring back to stock.

We've used them but it does take a little work to get it to fit as we cut some of the plastic to get it to work.

So we just normally use the Forge as it bolts right in place

We also have used the Wagner too

Way thanks! How does the JCW perform compared to the others? Is it good enough for a stage 2?

Most the JCW R60s we have done stage 2 tunes on just stuck with the stock JCW intercooler to save money. So hard to say as we would need some data logging to see what the difference between the two is on the same car. If would be an interesting side by side comparison.

It's my understanding that the JCW intercooler is bigger than the S. And it's fine to even run with Mario's Stage III I believe. But he can chime in on that.
