Rare JCW wanting a stage 3 manic tune

I have a rare 2009 Clubman JCW. I got a stage 2 manic tune last year and am looking to upgrade to a stage 3. What is needed to accept this tune? Of course I have already done the required steps for the stage 2. Thanks in advance.

Bigger turbo is what what you need. Methanol is also a good idea

Really? I thought that the JCW turbo would be sufficient. Which turbo do you suggest? Anything else along with the turbo?

If you have downpipe, IC, no second cat, colder spark plugs then you are ready to go stage 3 with a bigger turbo.

Stage 3 tuning without a bigger turbo won't help you.

The tune you have is already specific for the JCW turbo as the tunes are specific to the ECU and the mods you have. So going to do anymore tuning would be a waste as the stage 2 is designed for a bigger turbo. So save your money and put it into other mods.

What other mods would give me more hp? I figured a bigger turbo and stage 3 tune would be the way to go but your saying its a waste?

You can go to stage 3 but you will need a larger turbo than a JCW. Also a methanol kit is always a good idea to keep IAT's low, fuel and octane up

I am looking at the turbo, meth, upgrade path as well for my 2010 JCW. Which one do I invest in first. Meth system before turbo, or other way around?

If you are already stage 2 I would suggest turbo first. The car will still run just not truly optimized for the bigger turbo. If you go meth first you don't really get any benefit without the new tune. So I'd say turbo, then meth and tune for stage 3 right after meth.
MarioKart is incredibly helpful and is in SoCal as well. You should contact him as he has access to parts as well as ability to do your tune.
