So far I have heard mostly positive things. A couple extra pounds of boost should be a nice improvement. I will try to report back next week after I put some miles on it.

I would wait 150 miles or more to give your initial reaction of the product. I waited until 300 miles. Enjoy the JB+.

I drive about 70 miles a day so that shouldn't be a problem. What other mods do you have with your JB+?

Then that's perfect:-).

I have a helix FMIC, K&N panel filter, 2nd cat and resonator delete with a FJCW muffler, forge hot side tube. I believe I'm missing a few more, but the rest is my suspension.

I am dangerously close to buying a Helix FMIC. I have been pretty happy with the factory sports suspension. I would like to go a little lower, but my rear wheels rub with people in the backseat as it is and I haven't been able to come up with a good solution besides getting less offset wheels

I love my Helix FMIC, I'm the only one in my area here who has one of their MINI since Detroit Tuned sells more of the Forge.

But why not try wheel spacers and something with a Koni/Spring setup? I'd definitely go that route if you think it could help with the back passengers. Might want to ask Way or Detroit Tuned on a more specific answer.

You might not be the only one for long. I work in Dearborn for Ford...

I talked to Detroit tuned about my rubbing and the only real solution is some bump stops or crazy stiff springs I think. It is rubbing on the plastic trim just inside the lip of the wheelwell. It wore the plastic down some so it doesn't rub nearly as often which is why I haven't bothered to fix it. Passengers slow me down anyways haha.

*I guess I meant more offset wheels in the previous post. whoops

Oh that's great! You'll enjoy this cold weather with the JB+.

But I'd definitely listen to Chad. He's pretty knowledgable on suspension stuff as always. I think stiff springs are good, I believe H&R are pretty stiff but I could be mistaken. And trust me I know how you feel about passengers, not as much fun as it is without them;-). Maybe I'll see you in the spring time at one of MMMC events if you're not already on that forum.

Lower the car, will add negative camber that might help with the rubbing. Or install the rear camber adjustment arms.

Resonator and 2nd Cat delete is a must do!

I may have to try lowering it. My only fear would be making my car undriveable if it didn't clear haha. The big question would then be H&R Lowering Springs or Coilovers?

Coilovers if you plan to track but IMO, it's a waste if your just driving around. Only coilovers I recommend if your NOT tracking is the ST's. But if you just want drive around and enjoy your MINI with drivability still there, Koni yellows and lowering springs like H&R or NM.

My JB+ showed up 2 days early just in time for my trip from Ann Arbor to Pittsburgh. It took all of 10 seconds to install. You could feel something was different right away. After a couple hundred miles you could feel it pushing the turbo a little harder. The Mad Mini is definitely quicker to get up and go. I need to do some more technical driving besides from weaving traffic on the highway. So far, I think the JB+ gives the Countryman the extra kick it needs. The stock setting seems to be appropriate for my lightly modded R60.

After a little more driving, I've noticed less pop and burble from my exhaust (in sport mode, but I'm always in sport mode). I assume its not running lean but maybe more balanced than before when it popped like crazy on deceleration. The actual performance has been great. I could definitely use more power, but the increase I got for $300 was worth it and with reliability in mind, I think this will be my last mod for a while. I am extremely happy with my R60 and I owe this thread a big thank you for steering me in the right direction with my mods.

You can always pull the negative on the battery and go through the re-learn. Starts out rich from what I recall.

Other than that, there's no real reason that pop/burble would decrease, since it's actually a function of the DME sending additional unspent fuel down the line. Hence why it can be turned on and off at will.

It might just be in my head. I keep thinking my exhaust tone deepened some too but I have no way of confirming that. It definitely still pops. It could be that I am just accelerating more than decelerating since the addition of the JB+

Oh, now that does actually change things. Your fueling is affected, as is the DME, when using tuning or the JB+.

So that's a very real phenomenon. On a stock car, the levels of P&B should remain relatively static.

a lot of people on facebook mini groups are saying i will get problems if i go with the res and 2d cat delete route in north carolina.

Yes and no. It will physically fit the dimensions, but the pipe is sized differently.

You would either need to buy reducer clamps (quite difficult with our strange exhaust sizes) to take the 2.5" JCW pipe down to your stock 2.1875, or find another way to bridge the gap. There's not a good way to fill a gap like that with welding, alone.

So I finally found someone who would cut off the 2nd cat and resonator which was much more difficult than I expected. First impression, a little quiet compared to the video by inclinelongboards. My car is auto but shouldn't make a difference. In sport mode, a little quiet but definitely louder pops and burbles. After a few days, car has definitely gotten louder. Sounds AWESOME! The pops can be somewhat excessive but man when you floor it it sounds sweet. Sounds a bit like a Z with a good exhaust with more of a 4 banger hint. I love the way the car sounds now. I feel there is a bit more power as well. It seems to hold gears a bit longer in regular mode I assume is due to more power. I advise everyone to do this mod who doesn't want to purchase a full exhaust. There is no way my wife would let me spend $1000 on an exhaust so this $40 mod works for me perfectly and keeps the noise at a more than tolerable level. The big thing for me was Highway drone. Once this car pops into 6th there is basically none. I HATE drone and there is no gear or rpm level that drives me nuts. It's nice in the lower gears putting around, maybe a bit of drone, but the highway is smooth with the exhaust slightly audible. I even have new quiet regular tires vs. the loud as hell stock run flats and I love it. It's too bad someone doesn't make a pipe for this purpose. Seems a J style pipe with extension past the 2nd cat and resonator would be a nice and cheap part although would still require cutting and welding. It would be nice though to have a full section of just one size piping. I'm ranting now, go get this done!

Glad to hear there's another happy customer!

It's true about the piping - it would be great to have a pre-made that was simply a slip-fit. Sadly, it's such an odd size that it would need to be a custom production run from a piping distributor.

So I'm thinking about jumping into the autocross game. I would like to hear some recommendations for further modifications if anyone cares to chime in.

Current setup:
2013 All4S
Factory Sports Suspension
Resonator/2nd Cat Delete
K&N RU-1540
JB+ on default setting
19x8.5 et40 wheels
BF Goodrich Sports Comp II 245/40 tires

I've got some extra cash if there is a worthy upgrade that might help. Thanks again for all the advice!

You could go my route and talk to Group4. Lots of power to be made (up to the limit of the ALL4 system, of course).
