Hi Gang,
I am looking into upgrading the exhaust on my 2013 Roadster S and want to add the JCW muffler (not the tunning kit) with integrated tips. I found what I was looking for (part 18307646678) for a good price but am getting push back (they won't ship it!) from the MINI parts dept saying it won't fit even though ECS Tuning sells it as proper fitment as does REALOEM. Has anyone run this part on their Roadster?
Here is the ECS link: https://www.ecstuning.com/Mini-2013-...t/Performance/
and here's REALOEM: http://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/partxref?q=18307646678
Thanks!
What is the difference between the FJCW Muffler (the one with integrated tips) and the JCW Tunning kit Muffler (the one with separate tips)?
Which one provide better performance?
Its in the thread linked above also , The FJCW has integrated tip and is on the Factory JCW cars ( its has a really deeper tone/ gruunt ). The JCW tuning kit exhaust is part of the JCW tuning kit and has separated tips form the exhaust and marked JCW, it has a louder / more grunt then the stock Cooper S exhausts , but not as loud or low growl of the FJCW exhaust.
Thanks for the responses! So this is how it went: Tempe Mini refused to sell the part to me. Said it was for a Paceman not a Roadster, refused to reconsider. So I paid a few more bucks at Sacremento Mini who were great. Cost me $70 bucks to install at the local muffler shop. I don't know what I was expecting but the sound difference is very subtle, and visually there's not much difference either. What I didn't expect is that there is noticable exhaust smell now which didn't exist before. Is there a break in time where exess exhaust is normal? I think the connection with the 55mm clamp is tight but I suppose that might be an issue too. I'm going to give it a few months to see if there is an additional rumble, and also if the exhaust smell in the cabin (when the top is down) abates, then might consider deleting the resonator.
I found another part number for a jcw exhaust/muffler on the web the part number is 18100429379.
Can someone tell me the difference between this one and the others jcw exhaust?
What´s the difference between this one 18302293431 and 18100429379 i know both are jcw tunning kit exhaust but i would like to know the difference in sound and performance
18302293431 Euro version tuning kit exhaust only. 18100429379 is an NLA US Tuning kit exhaust is was superseded to the newer part, both we dont carry , but they are both Tuning Kit and not FJCW exhaust , they will sound like all the other Tuning kit exhaust for the R56.
