Question Jcw muffler weld on or clamp on???

Hi, so I'm planning on getting a JCW muffler for my 2012 coupe S. I was wondering all of your opinions on if it is better to just clamp the muffler on or have it welded on? I know these clamps are a good alternative and they are supposed to be life lasting for it, but is it really better then just welding it on? Any worries of leaks if just clamped on? Also after I have the JCW muffler installed would it be good down the road to get a JCW downpipe to go with the muffler? Any help or opinions would be greatly appreciated, I'd like to hear more from this mini community especially the R58 community, we have a rare and unique car I would like to have a community to talk to everyday about our lovely coupes. Mini on and hope to hear from yall soon.

Get it welded and good luck to find one at an affordable price.

So 400 isn't affordable? I'm sure you have seen it.

No, I am not looking for one and I don't know where you can find it. Are you just looking for the tips or the complete muffler?

Both ways, go with the weld option.

If installed at the dealer they would clamp it on, they don't even have a welder.

If done professionally, weld or clamp is acceptable. All of the aftermarket exhaust kits clamp together, so there isn't anything wrong with that solution, just use a quality clamp.

Clamp it It will hold. Just use a new factory clamp to secure it.

There is a reason the OEM JCW pipes are welded and not clamped. I am sure you also know why.
