Congratulations! Loving that color combination. Not one I have seen too often. Any plans with it or leaving it as is?

Thanks all...

Loving the R58 so far...

Yes, I do plan some exterior mods:
Blacked Out headlights
Day Time Running Fog Lights
Maybe another set of lights for the grill area.

Suggestions Welcome...!

We have the LED rally lights in black HERE or chrome HERE. Or you could do the known LED version black HERE chrome HERE. If you decide on any of these you'll need corresponding mount, interior knee bolster and grille section. I can help you with this. The MINI daytime running LED light kit is HERE. Let me know if you have any questions.

See the links.

Yes, I do plan some exterior mods:

Blacked Out headlights Do the taillights also, some other blackline options linked : https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...line-look.html

Day Time Running Fog Lights DIY and LED here :

https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...installed.html

DIY: http://bd8ba3c866c8cbc330ab-7b26c6f3...NI_LED_DRL.pdf

Maybe another set of lights for the grill area. LED or Halogen, I would go with LED also.

https://www.ecstuning.com/Mini-2012-.../Rally_Lights/

Then the corresponding match grille.

If you need anything else let me know.

I thought for quite some time about the rally lights. If I remember it was about $700 for the parts including the brackets for the JCW.

What backed me off on any add-ons is the single local BMW/MINI shop in town never wanted to provide a basic quote even based on factory time to install them because they have never done this before.

At $170/hr it goes really fast.

The none LED options are a much cheaper option. There are also a lot of great DIY threads on NAM to help you do the install yourself, if you wanted to keep the costs of labor down. I posted one below. You could also find a local MINI specialist shop and get an install quote from them. You can use this site HERE to help you find possibly other local MINI shops in your area. Let me know if you have any questions.

You don't find any Indy shop here in the woods of the Olympic Peninsula.

The closest serious Mini shop is in Seattle.

Try to search for a BMW indy shop , I knew you made the transition to the upper west coast, did not know you were that far away. https://www.automd.com/shops/ , http://www.ase.com/landing-pages/car...pair-shop.aspx

Picking up my 2013 Coupe S on saturday. Looking forward to it!

It's sad saying goodbye to my 2003 Cooper though. After 13 years and 253K miles, we've grown rather close. :(

Will do. It's the very dark blue color (Reef Blue?) - looks practically black in the photos I've seen of it (did I mention that I won't see it in person until I drive down to NJ to get it?).

I've been happily toodling along for 12+ years in my 2003 MC, so I haven't been keeping up with the new models and their associated rarities.

Nice to know I found an elusive gem. Are there any stats around showing how many of each color were made?

Thanks for the link. Those pics show the color much better than the pics of the car I'm about to buy (example below). I LOVE that the blue is so dark it sometimes looks black. LOVE it.

So you got me curious, and I did a Coupe subforum search for "reef". I only saw one other Coupe in Reef Blue, belonging to Kimpossible.

Am I really only the second Reef Blue R58 owner on this subforum?

Congratulations. Very nice color with the black roof. I saw a few HT but never a Coupe.

You will love these seats. They are fabric and the most comfortable by far from any Mini I drove.

And furthermore, you have been lucky to find a 6 SP. It is even better for enjoyment.
