Sorry I didnt explain myself well
The seat base on your US Spec cars are one piece of leather and the piece your knees rest on are stitched and fluted leather
On my UK spec car the seat base is stitched fluted leather and the piece your knees rests on is one piece of leather

Best looking modern MINI, in my opinion.
The US requires a weight sensor in the seat cushion for the airbag system and the seat design for lounge leather is different as a result.

The door is on the right hand side due to the gas filler location - the Clubman is just a 5" stretch of the standard MINI Cooper. Any redesign of the car that would move the gas filler location would also require extensive and expensive retesting of the car and was not justifiable. For the US market the 3rd door being on the "sidewalk side" is a good safety thing. loading and unloading from the 3rd door is slower and therefore should not be exposed to traffic - IMHO.

I still love my Clubman.

In car crazy Southern California I've seen maybe 6 Hampton editions since their debut. One of those times was when the car went to the dealership for warranty work.

I will say that your Hampton has a few exterior things that are different than most Hamptons.

Yea, they were rare wheels , most likely sold them outside of the sale of the car. Not too many PW Hampton around.

I'm a new Hampton Edition owner in little ol Rhode Island!
I'm an enthusiast; however, am having a couple "warranty" issues with the dealer here in RI in Warwick. I bought it privately in February 2016 for $15,560. It's 3 year 36k service warranty ended December 28 2015, I didn't know that. Biggest complaint is the shape of the "dancing stripes" on the hood. Fading horribly! And, it has not been anywhere near the ocean even though we are "the ocean state". The service guy said it wasn't covered. This disappoints me greatly because we aren't talking about a lot of $$$. Also, the brakes were totally redone two years ago, new rotors and brake pads but when I use the brakes to come to a stop, the steering wheel really pulls to either the right or the left fairly hard. I've always driven front wheel drive cards and this never occurred before. Service person said "it's normal". Thoughts on that, too? The work was done here at the dealership. They said only the parts would be covered if defective and that in order to "assess the issue" it would cost $130.
Secondly, I'd like to, if possible, consider getting an extended warranty given the fact that I bought it with 27,800 miles on it and it now has 28,993 on it, again purchased from original owner in late December 2011.
Any suggestions or thoughts anyone? Would greatly appreciate them.
Best,
Maureen
