1. all mini's have a 4year 50,000 mile warranty. from date of purchase. follows car not owner.

2. brakes should not do that at all. Brake system faulty or major alignment problems.

3. I'm trying to see if dealer will replace my stripes. No word yet. my 2011 Hampton is still under warranty so i hope they say yes. Ill keep you posted.

Hey there everyone,

I'm an enthusiast; however, am having a couple "warranty" issues with the dealer here in RI in Warwick. I bought it privately in February 2016 for $15,560. It's 3 year 36k service warranty ended December 28 2015, I didn't know that. Biggest complaint is the shape of the "dancing stripes" on the hood. Fading horribly! And, it has not been anywhere near the ocean even though we are "the ocean state". The service guy said it wasn't covered. This disappoints me greatly because we aren't talking about a lot of $$$. Also, the brakes were totally redone two years ago, new rotors and brake pads but when I use the brakes to come to a stop, the steering wheel really pulls to either the right or the left fairly hard. I've always driven front wheel drive cards and this never occurred before. Service person said "it's normal". Thoughts on that, too? The work was done here at the dealership. They said only the parts would be covered if defective and that in order to "assess the issue" it would cost $130.

Secondly, I'd like to, if possible, consider getting an extended warranty given the fact that I bought it with 27,800 miles on it and it now has 28,993 on it, again purchased from original owner in late December 2011.

Any suggestions or thoughts anyone? Would greatly appreciate them.

Best,
Maureen
Smithfield, RI

Did you ever get these issues resolved ?

I was able to salvage my weathered hood stripes but would like to also know your outcome with dealing with your issues at the dealership.

Ouch... Hoping everyone involved were okay. So sad to see such a nice Hampton get crushed like that.

No one hurt, but sad to see the Mini go.

Fortunately, I saw another Hampton for sale locally over the weekend. Brought it home today.

Wow... that was amazingly quick you found another Hampton edition.

How many miles were on your 1st one verses your new one?

Thanks, I was ecstatic when I found the second Hampton! I knew I had to get it.

When the accident occurred, the old one had ~44,000 miles. The newer one has 32k and change.

Ouch ... shame to see your 1st Hampton crumpled and crippled. Glad no one was injured.
You must be meant to have a Hampton as quickly as you found a replacement.
Wishing you *much* better luck this time!

Looks good, the snow tires make a huge diffrence on the MINI. I just put on my studded snow tire by Pirelli.

Anyone interested in my wheels? I want to upgrade, but I would need to sell off the stock wheels that came on my Hampton.

I don't care for the side graphics, but if you like them my opinion doesn't mean anything

Save them, they are very rare and if you do sell your MINI (I know we don't want that ) you will still have the originals.
