It does that to me as well if I happen to wrongly enter in my production number. Are you sure that you got the number right?

Also, it won't accept the last 7 digits of my VIN yet. Keeps telling me that I've entered in an invalid VIN.

Well I'm Bummed!

I think I have the first/oldest order of anyone here (36299XX) and I'm STILL on order. If I call MINI they say scheduled for production with no date. This is a super bummer.

*sigh*

I just called..

I always get the automated system :P But then I ask to speak to a representative right after.

The automated system always says 'Scheduled for production with no date'

Yet...

When I talk to someone.. They always tell me that the car went into production on September 7th at 9AM. My expected finish date for Production is September 16th! First time I've gotten actual dates was today.. so I'm jazzed :D

Production number

My production number is 36298xx but my went into production on 9/8. By my calculations in should go to the body shop tomorrow to actually start being built. Are you speaking with an actual rep or just the automated system? The automated system still says "scheduled for prod with no confirmed date" but ol.miniusa has it scheduled with a vin number.

This is going to get hard following everyones status in here. I have set up a google docs spread sheet for those who are on order on page one. If you would like to add/edit your information you are welcome to do so.

Tired to enter my data in the Google worksheet but it will not add. I can click on a cell and it highlights but I can enter the data.

Maybe someone else can enter it.
Ordered on 8/14/2011
Production date 9/6/2011
Production number 36308XX

That's really all I know at this point. Nothing else.

I will take care of it. However, I may still have something set wrong. I will work on it from this end and get back to the group.

I double checked the production number. I have the sheet right from the dealer. Plus I have tried with the VIN as well. Either way it goes to a live person. I think I will what until Thursday or Friday and then call my MA.

@Zamfier,

Is "order date" the date you got your production number from your MA, or is it the date that you gave your order to your MA? I think it should be the date you received your actual production number as anything before that and it wasn't an actual order IMHO.

Anyway, I tried to edit the sheet, but it wouldn't let me. Here's my info:

Coupe/S/JCW = S
Order Date = 8/8/2011 (date production number received)
Scheduled 4 Prod = 9/8/2011 (date Owner's Lounge updated to "Scheduled For Production")

So I just tried it again and when I used the order number it says it is scheduled for production with no production order date. But my MA told me it stated production last Tuesday.

So I called back again and used the last 7 of the Vin and it tried to connect me to customer service who of course are not there now.

So I'm resigned to wait until Friday and then call my MA.

I just put that order date in for when you actually went in and placed the order. If you want a place for production # received it can be added. If I wanted to blow your mind I could tell you that I placed my order the day after the concept revealed in Germany

PatM -

You are experiencing what I am.. 'Scheduled for production with no date' on the automated system.

Just talk to a live person at ASK MINI. They have more information then the automated service does. Mine even gave me exact dates. 9/16 is when my car finishes production. He also said I went in on 9/7 at 9am.

PezRadar, i did talk to them and all they could tell me was it was scheduled but could not give me dates etc. Although my MA told me that the production actually started on the 6th of Sept.

I'm going to call my MA again tomorrow and see what he says.

Yea talk to your MA.

Likewise ASKMINI couldn't give me dates.. but I talked to 3 different people and the 3rd guy finally gave me dates. Some people are less experienced then others. Even the NAM Track Your MINI thread states that some people on the ASKMINI line aren't too experienced so they just aren't comfortable giving dates. Just keep calling and talking to them. Pretty sure they don't log when you call :P

Zyamfier -
How can your car go into production on the 11th and be done by the 14th? :P MINI's take at least 8 days to build :P

Also - I thought all MINI's went to the VDC once they got to the US? There are only 2 VDCs on the East Coast.. One in NYC and one in Charleston, SC.

I'm noticing my Port Location that my dealer gave me is in Georgia and not SC like my last MINI back in 2007. I also have a friend who had their Countryman go to Baltimore. How does that work? They then have to drive them back north to SC and NY? Why not just port in Charleston like my last MINI did.. Odd..

Some people are just special I guess.....I am just going by my production week. To tell you the truth this being my second MINI I have not been as anxious as I was six years ago and did not check till today. Automated did not tell me a start date just an estimate of the 14th for completion.

Updated Spreadsheet

Well I updated the spreadsheet. I called ASKMINI just a minute ago and finally got an automated response. The car is in the body shop with an anticipated completion date of Sept. 15.

I'm hoping it will be at the port by this weekend. Now I just need to find out when the next ship will be available. If I remember correctly it's going to be awhile. It's a 3 week trip to PH and I don't think the next ship leaves until the last week of the month. That kind of stinks. But hey at least it's getting closer.
