Love that color (had to return the compliment). Also like your wheels. I'm having a set of those delivered from a newly docked car to go with my bridge spokes.

Thanks, the color is growing on me. It's not a color I'd have ordered, but the car was configured the way I wanted it (no options except sport suspension), so I grabbed it.

It's my fourth one in five years - The dealer likes me.

Nice wheels. Those are the standard silver polished ones and not gun metal, right?

Spankin' New

Whew, that was the longest 6 weeks of my life to date. Yesterday was day 1. No words can describe the feeling of driving these cars. Only been ~24 hours and....wow, just, wow.

Bear in mind I'm upgrading from a 2000 Ford Escort ZX2 to a spankin' MCS.

Good color choice! Mine is pretty much the same except for the bonnet stripes. Besides the roof rack and the sport package, what options did you get?

P.S.: And where on "earth" is the speed checked via radar?

...oh and the Alta stubby is new... as well as the iPod connector (not that you can see that part).

That looks NIIIIIIIIIIICE!!!! Damn, why didn't they make 'em sit that way from the factory? We all could have been spared all of the "R56 is ugly" crap. I thought your car looked sharp with the Crown Spokes - I'm really diggin' it with the Web Spokes.

Well I haven't seen a real cop on Mulholland yet...counting my lucky stars. So it could be, the signs are just to fool happy motorists. BTW, my segment of Earth is the L.A. region, sadly to say. I miss the mountains of Colorado. Oh well, all I need now is a full tank of gas in my MCS to be happy!

Thanks.

The Crown Spokes were growing on me, too. It was a hard call to spend $500 out of pocket for the web spokes (vs. putting it towards a second set on the aftermarket), but I'm glad I did it.

The only cosmetic things I still dislike are the controls below the speedo and the chrome side repeators. Hopfully somthing will come out in the aftermarket scene to modify both. Otherwise I've passed 2500 miles and I'm loving it. The thing rails and absolutly begs to be pitched around.

Intake and exhaust will be near the end of the year. Not sure whether I'll go with the JCW kit (tempting), or some other aftermarket manufacturer. We'll see. It's really not in the budget just yet to think about it.

A blackout kit for the side repeaters is already available.

Yeah, I saw that and it looks great. I'm waiting for somthing a little different. Not sure yet exactly what, maybe some surface area of the badge punched out with some black metal screen behind it (sort of like the older style). Some design. I'll know it when I see it.

The big trend of late seems to be debadging and blacked out chrome. I've done that with previous cars, but I think on this one, the chrome accents the Dark Silver nicely... just not that much on that one part, if you know what I mean.

Very nice. Isn't that the hyper-sport kit? What value of tint do you have on that MCS?

Impacto Your car looks great. Just as I thought, the fenders arches painted body color pull it all together. I will do mine in the next couple of weeks. Congrats.

It is the factory Hypersport kit. I had the dealer paint the arches since it was way too ugly as configured.

Not sure about the windows, dealer arranged it. Was supposed to be "medium". Sunroof is 5%.

Here is Rigby. Picked him up this morning. First stop was to my shop to swap the new wheels, and install my shortie antenna. Tomorrow I will install the red shift **** and red e-brake handle, and the inside will be finished. Off to have the windows tinted next Tusday. Next will be paint the fender flares and more then likely order some H&R springs to get it "on the ground".
What a blast to drive! Looking forward to getting past the" breaking in the motor" to some " spirated-driving".

Gorgeous! The painted arches really make that Hypersport kit work. And not so in your face as the JCW kit.
