^ looks real good man, i have a question for you.
Did you strip the wheels with anything before you painted over them?
What paint did you use?
I am suprised you didnt paint the contrl arms black as well.
cheers

Actually no, I decided to just paint directly over the existing paint...not the best of ideas, but the idea of sanding down each rim by hand was not pleasing...I just used 500 degree heat paint primer, the 1200 degree high heat black satin (yes a little over kill on the degrees, but this stuff matches the black arches and tires very well, plus I can match all exhaust stuff too
The lack of sanding down is probably a weak point (seems like paint will scratch off easily) but I also made it easy by using just that paint so touchups will be a breeze
I just used the same high heat paint on the door handles....don't know how it will hold up yet (normally I use this for plastic chrome trim pieces...minus the heat paint...plus some really good sanding)
thanks for the quick response, great forum we got here.
i was just wondering because i have seen in other forums where they used some aircraft paint remover to strip the wheels and then primered and painted. keep us updated on how it stands up. i like it a lot
just realized you live in Celebration, thats a neat little "town"

plus I've grown up there since the 8th grade
That IS Astro Black, right? I've got an AB/White on order and am dying to get it. In fact, I'm standing in my driveway with a bucket of suds, sponge, and a stack of cotton towels right now...just waiting.....
Cooperflags.com
Had them custom make it for me with a Pantone color (printer lingo
) that was closest to Mellow Yellow. Being in the printing industry, I have a Pantone book so it was easy for me!

Very nice car. The sport stripes were an excellent choice, too; you don't see many of them.

I'm digging those full sport stripes too... looks like I'm going to have to head to my vinyl detailer to get mine extended. Sweet looking MINI!

Thanks for giving me the clue on how to post photos in my message.
