question for you birdman what is that bottom picture showing?
Yep, that's the PDC in action. I took the shot with the mini about 1 foot from another car behind it. It starts green (beeps slowly), as you get closer the yellow lights up (beeps faster), then when you are about 1 foot, the red starts lighting up (beeping very fast). It works very nicely.
Funny about the "Runways 64, flaps up" comment. Everyone who checks out my car, says "it looks like a cockpit". I say, it IS!!!
I just picked it up yesterday. First mod was the iPod adapter, 2nd will be a black racing stripe. It's going to be an autocross car.
hey jimsevo8... did you add the iPod adaptor after you mini was delivered or b4 production? i'm debating if i should order at the dealer when i pick it up tomorrow... but i remember seeing another ipod adaptor that was easy to self install... if you don't mind me asking how much did you pay total for the ipod adaptor... i'm trying to figure out how much the dealer would charge for installation...

I don't have the MINI iPod adapter. It's an aftermarket one. It charges via the cigarette lighter and plugs into the AUX port. I honestly haven't driven the car since I installed it. I tested it for a few minutes and it sounded OK, well as OK as it can sound with the non-Hi-Fi system (which I plan to upgrade in the future).
Here's a pic:
$50 vs $500 MINI wanted. No, you can't control it from the steering wheel, but for now it fits the bill. I'll see if I can live with it long term.
Scarlett "Coop".
I picked her up on Friday and have been enjoying the weekend with her so far. I will try and get some pics up of her interior real soon!

I can finally join this thread with my own pics...
Gabe, it looks like you picked a winner. You drive me crazy, though, with your scenery shots. Makes me miss Chicago, where I spent a couple of weeks last summer visiting a friend in Barrington. I may have to schedule a return trip.
