Yeah, I know what you mean. I have low profile 18's on my Tiburon right now, and I cringe every time I hit one of the local potholes of doom. To reduce my stress I'm thinking about sticking with 17's if I get a MCS. Maybe if they ever fix the streets around here I can think about 18's

Good to hear that you didn't have to sacrifice ride quality though. When I switched to the aftermarket wheels on my car it made a pretty big difference, but I also didn't have them very long with stock suspension. I love the performance of my lowered car and the low profile tires, but I'm sort of missing everyday driving comfort.

DSG, Hattat... very nice rides. I was strongly considering DS/B myself, but decided to go in another direction. The rim choices are great, and I can wait to see your car dropped Hattat - I love the OZ rims.

Looking at the pics of your cars helps while I await delivery!

Since the stock suspension setup is stiff, I could not feel any difference. But I wonder how the new coilovers will make an effect.

Sweet!! Great color. One of our club members had his new all-LaB '07 at our run this last weekend - it was/is GORGEOUS.

The wheels look nice, too.

I realized I never posted in this thread. 9 days and 1111 miles . By this time next week I'll have around 3K miles on her . She'll get a very nice long rest after that.

Wow! Haven't been a huge fan of the de-badging/de-chroming on the R56 until I saw these. Those both look GREAT!!! A+ in the looks department, for sure.

How do you like the checkered flag sunroof sticker? I'm considering that when mine gets here. Does it help block/filter any of the sun, or is it purely cosmetic?

By the way ...I really like that your roof matches the car. I am a BIG fan of that too. Looks killer on yours.

What's a good place to buy wheels/tires? Does discount tire or tire rack still have a good rep? I absolutely love the wheels you have, they fit the mini like a glove. May I ask how much and what tires?

Any special tools needed to swap out the springs? I am also interested in some H&R springs.

I got mine at Tire Rack and think they were about $165 each. They arrived just two days after I ordered them. They are 17" and I am using the stock Goodyear run-flats that came on the car. I'll put a set of Blizzaks on my Crown Spokes for winter use.

The sunroof sticker is really only spaced solid white squares. The "black" squares are the normal tinted sunroof. In theory the sold white squares block out half the area of the sunroof.

Really? I didn't realize that. Interesting.

Isn't it kinda strange/annoying to see that from the inside? I think having half my sunroof covered up would get on my nerves. If only it didn't look so damn cool!

I find it kind of fun. The checker board shadow fills the interior and I can still see out. If I want a full unobstructed view, I can open the roof.
