Yesterday the automated system said I was scheduled to complete 1/18 and today it says 1/22. Today, customer service told me that the car is in final assembly and has a status of 155 Production Completed.
I called ASK-MINI this morning and the status was "Being Transported to Port of Exit." Yesterday the status was "In Paint Shop" even though estimated completion date was 1/17. So I think the system is kind of slow. Some of our cars are probably in the final stages by now, hopefully, good luck guys/gals!
AHHHHHH! I'm in week three and in the Mini owners lounge my mini is still 'scheduled for production'. Guess it's time to make a call to 1 866 ask mini...
I am also listed as being "en route". How long does that usually take? Does anybody know? I guess I need to remind myself that it doesn't matter since I won't be able to take delivery until 2/17 anyway.
Looks like there are a whole bunch of us who will be motoring happily about the time of release! My MA says "Once produced, they usually sit on the dock for around about 7 days, then @ sea 10-15 days, then about 7 days @ S.C. and 3 days on the transport to us...No promises but could be close!!!"
Was in final assembly today - QA tomorrow and then waiting with the rest of you. Looking forward to seeing the cars in person. On a side note - the DC Auto Show opens next week - the MINI booth guy told me they're loading the cars in on Sunday - so I'll see a whole bunch of R56s.
