I just got a call from my MA at Towne Mini in Buffalo NY he said come in today place your deposit, order your car, it will arrive last week of January or first week of Feb. This is for custom order not a factory spec car he confirmed. They just got their allotment today!!!!

 

Braggert ... Rub it in!! You'll be motoring while I'll be waiting ..

Congrats to you, very lucky indeed. I put a deposit down on my R56 MCS at the end of August in Northern Cali and I haven't even received a call from my MA to tell me to come in a spec my car. I am getting quite impatient to be honest! Good luck with your new car though

 

I thought LSD wouldn't be ready until March builds. Has this changed???

 

yea bought my 2006 Cooper from Art at Mini of the Woodlands...very pleasurable experience....and really nice guy.....would recommend him to anyone.

 

I asked my MA about this and she said that she hasn't been informed of a delay, but I am skeptical because of what I have read on here and MF. I am going to place my order in the morning and I have two configurations ready in case it isn't available yet.

 

I'm still going to hold out for the Hyper-Sport package, best for Auto-xing.

Hyper Sport is just going to be a body kit. You'll just need LSD and Sport Suspension for Autocross...

Towne has a 12 car allotment 6 MC and 6 S this is in addition to 6 pre specked cars, 3 of each that were factory configured, when i was in last night I had claimed the 1st MC slot the person ahead of me took an S and the MA told me that they had not sold any of the factory specked models yet. the factory cars were due to be delivered the 2nd week of January. Interesting to note that they had 18 or so 2006 models, a wide variety, even convertables!

 

Just received my build number. My MA said that I have a 1st Week Jan build data but that since I ordered an auto trans that none would be built until the last week of Jan. Also stated that would be Monday or later before MINIUSA would recognise the build number.
