Okay, we're "scheduled for production, with no production date." Is this the same as "on order" as the website says?

You may get a different answer if you ask to talk to a real person verses the automated line.

I spoke to a real person, and they said they had no more info that I saw on the Owner's Lounge page. The Owner's lounge page did not list everything from my order, but I know my salesman has an online resource that he checks that is more complete. I'm surprised that the people at the hot-line can't access that as well.

Greg, the ask MINI people can access everything. Maybe you got someone needing a MINI break. I had the same situation as you, my online screen only showed partial options so I called and ask MINI read me all the missing ones and gave me a more detailed production status.

I think you must have talked to a newbie or a lazy person, Ask MINI has access to everything. Like you, my Owner's Lounge page only shows some of the order but Ask MINI confirmed that all items ordered are on the 'real' build list.

MINI upgraded to en route

I just checked the owners lounge yesterday and it said that my MINI was awaiting transport, now this morning it has changed to en route My dealer as of 1-3-06 is unsure if the MINIs arriving this soon will be held at the port processing center or shipped to dealers as normal. A lot of us in a week or two might have an unnerving experiance of knowing our cars are in the US but not moving for weeks to our respective delers Or worse at the dealer but with instruction not to deliver!!!!

P.S. remember a few years back the boat that sank with all the volvo xc-90's onboard

Check the shipping line with your vin to see if it's on a boat - the boat will give you the expected time your car will arrive at port. Expect another week or so for delivery to your dealer.

I'm bummed that I put my order in 1Dec and I still don't have anything even close to a VIN. It must be that damn LSD or the PFMs. :-)

Not to make you feel bad, but I ordered later than you, I have LSD on my order, I have a VIN and my car is scheduled for production...It has however, been in the same status for at least two weeks now.

Is your LSD listed in the options list in the owners' lounge or on the build sheet that you might have received from your dealer. I just wonder how far behind MINI is in entering complete production information on the website. I ordered mine on Dec. 22.

It is ordered and is one of the options not listed. I'll wait (unpatiently) for it rather than forego it.

I just spoke with MINI and they tell me the LSD IS on my order, in spite of being left off the list on the website. He also said that I have a week 2 production schedule (website still says "on order"). He affirmed that there is no delay for the LSD, which is the second time MINI's rep has said there is no delay. I had called about 2 weeks ago about the rumoured delay.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed that he's right!

Based on what I've read here I called back and dug some more. No vin yet, but an "estimated" production completion of week 4. I don't know - sounds like she may have been making it up to make me happy! When it is really lined up to be in production they will assign a vin.

That's it - this calling thing is not helping me deal with my wait! I'm going cold turkey. No more calls. I'll check the owner's lounge only, and no more than once a day...

Sounds like you're scheduled for production - and just waiting on a slot on schedulling you - most likely you'll be completed by week four. :-)

I have been going crazy trying to deal with the wait. I have been getting the message that mine is scheduled for production with no confirmed build date for three weeks now.

I also got the "estimated production complete" line by week four. I know there is nothing I can do, but waiting is hard.

I don't I can quit checking or calling!

I've gotta say, it's pretty damn funny to read all of this insanity except for the fact that I'm in the same boat! I called Mini today and was told that mine should be completed by the end of next week. It does have LSD and they have that listed on their order sheet, but not the listed options in the owners lounge as has been covered many times over. I really can't wait til the day when we are all posting pics of our new Minis.

I just ordered on 12/30. My MA had a production number the next business day. It showed up on the MINI status site almost immediately. The correct info too.
I called my MA to make a change 2 days ago which has not shown up on the site so I called Ask MINI today and spoke to a very helpfull person -- Doug -- and asked him if he had info on my order. He read back the details of my order which were accurate. He indicated that it was in the order bank scheduled for production the 3rd week of January. He also said that a good estimate for delivery to me would be about 4 to 5 weeks from that point. Something like the 1st or 2nd week of March. He was pretty insistent on explaining that the point of MINI's least control and therefore the most iffy is the transport/and clearing the port of entry on this side of the pond. All sorts of possible delays may happen from port strikes to emmission testing or other regulatory issues. I'll keep my fingers crossed on that stuff.
Maybe delays have more to do with the dealer that takes the initial order (how many 07s "slots" they have at the time you place an order) and what specific model/options you order.
Just to give a little background --
I ordered from Prestige MINI (Northern NJ/Metro NY -- Large dealer)
my ordered car is an S YM/b -- Manual, Pkg#3(cold), 16" bridgespokes/AllS runflats, DSC, Interior colorline MY w/Check cloth.
Not many options at all.
It would be my guess that timing has a lot to do with what is ordered and from what dealership -- and whether the stars line up just right.
It's quite early for my order but things I've read here about not getting production numbers for ages and orders being inaccurate or no info from MINI has not been my experience.
I was getting the impression reading posts here and other places that ordering was kind of a mess through-out MINI. I'm delighted so far. I hope everyone has as possitive an experience as I have so far had.

It's not that I don't feel like I am getting enough info at all. I am just anxious for the factory to start building mine so I know I am getting closer to getting it. I realize that there can\may be many delays but I am ready to move to the next stage of waiting.

I called again to double check.. A young lady answered and she was confused as ever! She said first that it was already in production as of 1/2... but then I told her I called last night and she was like "Oh yes this program shows its date all weird.. 1 is the month and 2 is the week in the month.." so supposedly the guy last night was correct.

My production is set for the 2nd week of January.
